You should know Kirk Pacenti. He’s cut from the same cloth as those who created mountain bikes. A restless thinker, a ceaseless tinker, he’s worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. He designs and makes beautiful stuff; lugs, frames, you name it. He’s also a booster for the 650b wheel in mountain bikes. He’s way ahead of the curve on 650b and we’re trying to catch up.
The name Neo-Moto is supposed to convey what the tire is about. Neo = new. Moto = all things mountain bike. It’s the new mountain bike way. Think of the old Salsa pepperman slogan, “If it ain’t moto, it’s worthless.”
We’re not carrying the Pacenti Neo-Moto 650b tire because we like him or because it’s the first tire of its kind. We’re carrying it because it works. It’s an all-condition cross-country/all-mountain tire that works great in all conditions (read the reviews if you don’t believe us). Big, widely-spaced center lugs and tall, closely-linked side lugs grab in the corners and in the straights. It can be run with or without tubes.
The Pacenti Neo-Moto 650b Tire is 2.3” wide. It’s an all-condition cross-country/all-mountain tire with an Aramid bead. The casing has 66 TPI. While the tire is designed for tubes, we've found it will also work with Stan’s No Tubes Sealant. 740g.
