650 what? B. 650b. 650b is yet another standard infiltrating mountain biking, but we think it's got merit. It splits the difference between 26 and 29 inch wheels, providing the best of both worlds. Improved traction, vibration damping, gear selection, handling over obstacles, and ease of generating momentum (as compared to a 29 inch wheel.) As the 650b wheel measures 27.5" or so, you'll likely want a frame and fork dedicated to the platform, or be sure your frame and fork can do so prior to ordering.
Think of the Industry Nine 650b Enduro Wheelset as having options. The rim is the durable Velocity Blunt 650b disc, he rear hub gets larger flanges to provide extra stiffness, and the freehub body still provides the three degrees of engagement. A 20mm Thru Axle front hub allows you to use most any burly fork. If you're not running a thru axle front hub, have no fear as the I-9 enduro hubset is as close to infintely convertible as is available thanks to the quick release front endcaps and axle conversion kits available. Industry Nine .100" spokes bring things together, so you can hammer your trails, not your wheels.
The stock Industry Nine 650b Enduro Wheelset is available with matching spokes and hubs in anodized silver, red or black laced to a Velocity Blunt 650b disc rim. Our wheels are served up with a 20mm thru axle and 135 quick release rear hub. If these options aren't what you had in mind, give us a ring or drop us a line as Industry Nine can customize a wheelset in most any color combination on any rim -- it will require a wait of 10-12 weeks though.
