The K24 has most of the features of the top of the shelf Puro, so it stops great. The difference is it skips the carbon and titanium to bring the price back down to earth. It has the same Feeling Control System so you can decide what kind of modulation you need, a lever that works on the left or right, and a removable clamp that means the brake can be serviced without pulling off the bar-end, grip, and shifters. The price savings come from using an aluminum lever blade, steel fasteners, and a polyester-braided hose. The caliper is the same amazing-stopping 22mm pistons you find on the Puro.
The price reflects all the parts, save the rotor, for a single wheel. Rotors are sold separately. Formula uses DOT 4 brake fluid, which is less temperature-sensitive than mineral oil.
Note: almost all hydraulic brake lines need to be cut to size before a bike is properly shod with hydraulic disc brakes. You'll need a quality cable-cutter like the Park CN-10 and a spoke to first cut and then de-crimp the housing. . Weights break down as follows:
395g (entire kit including 160mm rotor)
+32g for 180mm rotor
+62g for 200mm rotor
