The Crank Brothers Joplin R Seatpost is 382mm long. Both the inner and outer shafts are made from aluminum. The post adjusts 75mm (3-inches) once it is clamped in a seat clamp. The remote is a joystick mounted on a handlebar clamp. The joystick attaches to 140cm of derailleur cable housing and runs up the back of the post. A derailleur cable is what releases the clamp lock.
