The Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedal is a unique and versatile design. While all one needs is the naked Eggbeater, many feel a need for more pedal underfoot. And that's why the Candy exists. The highest-zoot model in the Candy line is the Crank Brothers Candy 4ti pedal. It has a titanium spindle, titanium wings, and both the springs and the kick plates are stainless steel with a titanium nitride treatment, hence the "4" designation in the name. The pedal can be used on road or off, with road or mountain bike shoes, with a little float or lots of float. The design is simple to make, simple to use, doesn't clog with gunk, easy to rebuild, and is durable. The one limitation on the Crank Brothers Candy 4ti pedal is weight -- as in rider weight.
