“Launch” might not be the right name for these pads. “Landing” seems more accurate, as anyone can get big air, but few can stick the landing. These are for when you don't. However, it might be easier to think of these as necessary accessories in preparation for the launch, rather than fathom the idea of needing them upon landing.
