The 5.3 lb Mojo SL shares all of the same ride characteristics as the Mojo Carbon -- coil spring-like smoothness, small bump sensitivity, and dw-link controlled anti-squat for super-efficient pedaling. Pick your adventure -- be it a five hour backwoods ride from your porch or a week long trip to the mountains, the 140mm travel Mojo SL will tackle it all.

The folks at Ibis have used the latest technologies to eliminate most of the alloy bits found in the original Mojo Carbon frame. In the SL version, the dropouts are compression molded carbon fiber and are far lighter than their aluminum counterparts. The dropouts use stainless steel inserts to ensure durability. The head tube cups and seatpost insert are also carbon fiber. The actual composite layup is enhanced by the integration of higher modulus fibers, meaning less material can be used while maintaining the same strength and stiffness. Less material means less total weight. And, for the icing on the cake, steel pivot hardware has been replaced with lighter and stronger 6/4 titanium.

We offer it as a complete bike to help take the guesswork out of your new Mojo Carbon purchase. It's spec'ed with a blend of componentry to deliver maximum bang-for-the-buck. The build kit features SLX derailleurs, shifters, crank, and cassette. To keep things at a safe pace, Avid Elixir 5 brakes grab 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors. The wheels use Ibis sealed bearing hubs and 32 hole rims with stainless eyelets, butted spokes and brass nipples. And the Lopes-edition Kenda El Moco DTC 2.1" tires provide the traction on the trail. A RockShox Revelation Team Dual-Air 140mm w/Maxle 20mm thru-axle is used to absorb the bumps in front while a Fox Float RP23 rear shock keeps things under control in the back.

The Ibis Mojo SL comes in four sizes --Small, Medium, Large, and XL and is available in Matte Clear (over naked carbon weave), Transparent Blue, White, Eddy Orange, and Nuclear Pesto.
