Ventana La Bruja is the re-definition of the freeride trail bike. It offers 7" of ultra-plush rear wheel travel to let you tame trails, rip through ruts, and generally test your limits without having to give a second thought about whether your bike is as tough as you are fearless. Best of all, La Bruja is built using Ventana's X-Brace frame technology, so the right size bike will feel like the right size bike. It has 7" of travel with no trade-offs -- thanks to the X-Brace top tube, you can slide off the saddle to throw body english on La Bruja without giving your crotch blunt force trauma.
La Bruja provides you a stable pedaling platform due to Ventana's suspension design. Designed to maximize lateral stiffness, you can hold higher, tighter lines on off-camber terrain, and jump and slide more predictably by keeping your rear wheel in the same plane as your front triangle instead of flexing outward and giving the tire enough outward bite to throw you out of your groove. Ventana’s four-bar linkage uses the shortest rocker possible and a 2.8 to 1 compression ratio to provide such incredible lateral stiffness. The shortened rocker creates a more triangulated, compact rear triangle design. The compactness of the rear triangle minimizes lateral flex and the detrimental effects such flex has onto the rear suspension. It does so without compromising one iota of plushness -- this, thanks in large part to the stock Fox DHX 5.0 Coil shock (or you can opt for the DHX Air), and Ventana's low compression ratio design which allows for the use of lighter springs and lends itself to longer shock life.
A stunning oversized, hydroformed downtube defines the sleek beauty of La Bruja. But despite it's good looks, beauty isn't what that tube or La Bruja is about -- toughness is. Reinforced with an internally butted BB, a one piece, CNC machined bottom bracket shell and main pivot and an internally butted headtube complete with a full wraparound gusset, La Bruja begs for the wicked West. Further, Ventana provides the option for either 1-1/8" or 1-1/2" headtubes, the latter of which incurs a $50 upcharge which will be assessed after your order is placed. Finished with w/ISCG tabs, Ventana's legendary “Electric Sex” TIG welds, and a stainless steel headbadge, it's evident that La Bruja is ready for a pounding.
Ventana La Bruja is a disc-specific frame that uses quad set, double-sealed, oversized cartridge bearings at the pivot points. If you choose to run one, it requires the use of a 1-3/8" (34.9mm) traditional top pull front derailleur, International Standard disc brake mount and a 27.2mm seatpost. It has vertically slotted dropouts with a CNC-machined replaceable derailleur hanger. Electric Superdust or Army Green are the stock color options for the La Bruja -- or, for an upcharge of $150 and a short wait, it is available in any of Ventana’s luscious powdercoats – Electric Blue Metallic, Red Metallic, Gloss Black, Gloss White, Grinch Green, Cosmic Grey and Cosmic Orange. Small, Medium or Large sizes.
