The Turner Flux is perhaps Turner's most versatile machine. It offers you a full 4” of travel with no compromise whatsoever to pedaling efficiency. The Flux essentially merges Turner's critically acclaimed 5 Spot frame with their cross country rocket, the Nitrous. A lightweight 5.5 pounds, the Flux is the ideal bike for endurance or marathon racers or those who still enjoy cross-country racing, but enjoy getting out for some “fun time” when not training.
The Turner Flux was designed around the Fox Float RP23 rear shock and the use of a 100mm travel fork. The Flux is engineered with Turner's TNT suspension design which maintains a near-vertical wheel path, using bushings with zerk fittings at the pivots, not bearings. Turner enthusiastically touts the benefits of bushings over bearings, citing the incredibly tight tolerances, low and easy maintenance, long life, all of which translate into a torsionally stiff rear swingarm. The Flux can deliver either a firm pedaling platform or a plush, responsive trail riding machine, depending on how you choose to tune it. The Turner Flux has adaptability for virtually any situation you throw it in.
Take a good, long look at the Turner Flux and you'll notice the critical details that set Turner apart: the grease ports at each of the pivots, its flawless welds, the sleek, CNC-machined lines of the swingarm, the boxy rear stays to accentuate stiffness and strength, the reinforcement yoke at the juncture of the seat and top tubes, and an incredibly simple, well thought-out approach to the bike’s design. And almost as if its purpose is to keep your focus on those very technical details, the Flux is polished and finished with your choice of two simple, yet gorgeous anodizations.
