As good as it gets.

At various points in the past, Mavic has made some incredibly lightweight pedals, but the Zxellium SLR Ti Pedal blows the rest out of the water. Thanks to a carbon fiber body and titanium axle, the SLR Ti pedals weigh in at a feathery 155g. But that’s just getting started. With the renowned iClic cleat interface, you’re guaranteed smooth entry and exit from the pedals, even at high release tensions. If you’re looking for a professional-level road pedal, they don’t come any better than this.

The Zxellium SLR Ti sits atop Mavic’s pedal hierarchy. In other words, it pulls out all the stops, employing a carbon fiber body, carbon springs, and a replaceable body plate. It’s identical to the heavier SLR, except of course the titanium axle, which saves 35 grams over the SLR’s steel axle. And as we all know, when you’re pushing your body to the limit, every advantage counts.

If you’re looking at the Zxellium line and trying to figure out why it looks familiar, it’s because Mavic commissioned the pedal wizards at Time to build its newest lineup of pedals. The resulting pedal borrows heavily from Time’s venerable Xpresso line, which means you can expect both world-class foot retention and easy disengagement when the time comes. The iClic cleat interface makes clipping in a breeze, even at higher release tensions. You get the benefit of generous float, five degrees in either direction, to be specific. When combined with the 2.5mm of lateral float underneath the cleat, you get a pedal that won’t hinder your body’s natural movements, allowing you to ride pain-free. But Mavic knows that some riders prefer a more direct feel, and accordingly, you’re able to increase resistance on the cleat.

Float isn’t the only area where the Zxellium series excels. Thanks to the oversized body, power transmission is maximized when you start mashing. That jumbo-sized body plate is replaceable, which means you’ll enjoy the same direct response season after season. Furthermore, the efficiency of your pedal rotations is maximized through the use of an amazingly low stack height. With a scant 13.5mm separating the centerline of the axle from the top of the cleat, you’re able to push rounder pedal strokes, and enjoy the overall stability provided by lowering your center of gravity.

The Mavic Zxellium SLR Ti Pedal is available in one size, and in the color Black.
