Less is more.

For its flagship all-mountain gloves, Mavic went with a less-is-more approach to design, choosing to give the Stratos gloves as little weight and bulk as possible. With nothing but a cool, open-mesh back, an unpadded Clarino palm, and a knuckle Scuff Guard, the Stratos is a study in simple, efficient design.

The back of the Stratos gloves, made of open-mesh polyester, promotes ventilation throughout in order to cool your hands down. In addition to this, the highly absorbent microfiber thumb panel is perfect for when you need to quickly dab a sweaty brow. Mavic placed a Scuff Guard in the high abrasion area across the knuckles to not only protect your hand, but also to protect the glove.

The Stratos' palm is made from a durable synthetic leather called Clarino. This material, along with the Stratos' pad-less design, provides exceptional grip and dexterity, creating an unmatched feel on the bars. This perfect translation of the trail's surface gives you an upper hand while navigating tight, technical singletrack. The palm is also perforated to promote cooling airflow on the sweatiest area of your palm.

Mavic Stratos Gloves are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black and White.

  • Mesh back
  • Clarino synthetic palm
  • Knuckle reinforcements

How to Measure:
Measure from the tip of your middle finger straight down to the base of your palm (where it meets your wrist.) This will give you a "best guess" of your glove size. Personal fit preference and hand shape differ from person to person, so if you have a particularly wide or narrow hand, you may want to size up or down accordingly.

Stitching doesn't last

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

They're a good fit for my fingers, and not super tight around my wrists, but when they get wet they are hard to get on and off. Now after 10-12 rides the stitching has come out on both gloves, thumb side. I'll stitch em up, but it's always disappointing when you have to fix stuff you've bought because the stitching isn't good enough.
