Great Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the Cyclone jacket to be a mid-level piece between my long sleeve jersey and my Gore soft shell jacket. This thing does not disappoint. I have ridden it in a variety of conditions from chilly sunny days (50 deg) with a sleeveless summer weight base layer (mountain biking) to low 40 degree temperatures with a 150 weight merino top one day and a craft winter weight base layer another, and it is a totally versatile piece. It breathes extremely well and was only chilly on the descents.

I have not tried it in any foul weather or any precipitation, but assume it would preform admirably during a light drizzle.
I initially ordered a Large, but at 6 ft, 200 lbs, the XL just fit better and allowed for a bit looser

The Mavic Cyclone Jacket has many great features. I love the off-set zipper, the zip close storage pockets, and the super soft and ergonomic sleeve cuffs. The fit is a little large throughout the shoulders and arms, but it makes for great movement and comfort on the bike. The jacket blocks the wind to keep you warm, yet it breaths well to keep you dry. Looks nice when forced to wear bib tights. I dig it.

Can you help me? I would buy this size....

Can you help me? I would buy this size. (Japan o, International L/G, US M.)
But I can choice only s, m, l, xl. Which size is it?

Responded on

The sizing on our site is listed in US Sizes for apparel, so I would suggest the medium. That said, the Mavic apparel tends to run a little larger than some brands. I wear a large in most apparel, and this fit a little loose in the size large for me.

Blocks the Wind, Keeps you Warm

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Tested this out over the last two days here in a chilly Salt Lake City. Definitely kept the wind out, and kept my body heat in, though it did not breathe well at all on the climbs. To be fair, I was probably wearing a base layer that was to thick.

I'm 5'10'', 160 lbs. and found them medium to fit my torso perfectly. However the arms were really baggy and would probably fit Pop Eye. Not sure why that is, as we cyclists tend to have skinny arms, and this design feature didn't make much sense to me.

As advertised

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This jacket is really wind resistant. Most of my winter riding is windy with temps ranging from 25-40F. I did not feel the wind rob any heat from the core and it also vented nicely. I use a thermal base layer and am not cold, nor do I overheat. The fit is spot on. I am 5'9" and 165 lbs, and a medium fits great. The asymmetric zipper is a nice feature too.
