In true Mavic style, these wheels reflect an impeccable attention to detail. The rims feature Mavic's signature Inter Spoke Milling, a process that mills material out between the spokes to create the distinctive Mavic rim profile. It isn't just about aesthetics though; this process reduces rim weight and lowers the rotating mass of the wheel to improve acceleration and responsiveness compared to non-milled rims — all without any sacrifices to wheel strength. So whether you're battling the competition for the hole shot or gunning out of a corner to carry momentum into the next hill, these wheels are made to jump hard and get up to speed fast.

Mavic uses its reinforcing Fore process to add strength to the wheels and address issues of rim weakening around the spoke holes that can occur with standard, drilled rim spoke mounting. Instead of drilling into the rim, the Fore process pushes the lower rim up and then threads in the spokes, which leaves the rim continuity intact for a resulting increase in stiffness and strength over other rims. These wheels also feature four pawls instead of the two or three found in most wheelsets, which leads to faster gear engagement when you turn the pedals. You can tackle the course with confidence that these wheels can weather the bumps and will jump forward to pop over rocky cruxes as soon as you push on the pedals.

Billed as an Enduro racing-specific wheel-tire system, the Crossmax XL Pro LTD WTS 27.5in Wheelset comes outfitted with Mavic's aggressive Crossmax Charge XL tire on the front for optimal grip and cornering confidence in any conditions. The Charge XL is complemented with a fast-rolling Crossmax Quest XL tire on the rear wheel for speed and power transfer across hard pack climbs. Both tires are UST Tubeless Ready so you can set them up with or without tubes depending on your preference.
