Ehh..

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

Sadly they were way too big. I ordered an XL (which is my usual) but I definitely could of done a L. I like the material and the length but the chamois was mediocre. Probably 10 miles and under and then you may experience some discomfort. I returned these and got the Louis Garneau Optimum Shorts which are amazing!!!

I would like to buy the purple one shown in the pictures in size S for my wife, but I don't see it on the selection options, Can it be ordered? Please let me know.

gcl2054923520,

The reason it is faded out is because we are sold out of that color in the size Small. I am sorry.

Take care with the size

I ordered a Small but it's USA Small! International it's M/M to big for me!however it's a good short! The color is the same that it shows! Nice purple!

not bad, especially at sale price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

I got these on sale and they more than met my expectations for the price. I have been riding in them for about 6 months now and just ordered another pair. The biggest shock is size?huge. I am an XL in hincapie and pearl izumi, the xl in these is huge. I could be quite pregnant in the waistband and even the thighs and bootie were big. I do like the shorter length of the short, my preference. Because of the baggy size i keep these for shorter rides (90 min or less), but they work just fine for that. I even like the chamois. The pair I just ordered are a size smaller, hope they fit perfectly.

Good for shorter rides

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Not the best chamois out there, but it works great for spin class. I think it will be fine for mountain biking, but won't be taking it on a long road ride. Waist is really comfortable, and so are the leg grippers. I like the fabric too. The size seems a bit off. I'm usually a small in shorts, and if I need a different size I usually have to go up not down. I got the small in these, but think a XS would have been a better fit.

My favorite shorts (and I own a lot)

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I rarely write reviews but these shorts deserve their 5 stars. They are so awesome, I bought a second pair. The sizing is true to their chart so you will probably find yourself ordering a size down from your normal size in other brands. I wear a Medium in Pearl, Castelli and Gore shorts but I had to get Small in Mavic. The fit is great, no rolling at the waist, perfect around the thighs and the length is just right. Construction is solid, good quality stitching and the chamois has kept me comfortable even on my long (50+ mile) rides. If you get the size right, these shorts may be the best pair of cycling shorts in your closet... I just love them!

Too big

I ordered shorts to match my favorite Mavic jersey but at 5'5" 130 # a USA small was way too big for me. If they had fit I am sure I would have loved them.

runs big

I wear xs in most cycling apparel and these shorts are an xs and fit like a med. I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs. They look cool

Not as described.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The fabric does not grab the skin and forms a lot of pleats that make it uncomfortable to wear. The chamois is not comfortable either. I had to return mine. .

Nice all around

These are comfortable, very cool and the material is quality. They withstood a nice fall onto the pavement and didn't rip or tear, so that's a plus. The legs have silicone dashed around them so they stay put without clamping your legs in a vise. The area around the belly is seamless so it's pretty comfortable for rides. I would definitely buy another pair when they go back on sale.
