Adapt and survive.

Trying to put your old components on a new frame is always a daunting task. Not because of the mechanics–the build is easy. It's the amazing number of variations in compatibility. There really aren't any standards. One issue is wheels. Just a few years ago, everything was simple–100mm hub up front with a 9mm quick-release, 135mm hub in the rear with a 9mm quick-release. Those days are over, and hanging your old wheels on a new frame just got a lot more complicated. Fortunately, the folks at Mavic feel your pain. You don't have to ditch your beloved Crossmax wheels just because you got a frame with a 142mm rear. You can simply adapt.

The Mavic 135 to 142 Rear Axle Adapter Kit makes the switch from 135mm to 142mm easy. Just pop the cups out of your hubs and press the new ones in. The 12mm axle that was provided with your frame will slide right into your hub and you're off.

This Mavic 135 to 142 Rear Axle Adapter is for Crossmax wheels only. Other kits are available for Mavic's other mountain wheels.

May I know if this Mavic 135 to 142 Rear Axle Adapter is compatible with the older Mavic Crossmax wheelset like the 2006 Crossmax SL?

Thanks and regards,
