Is this fork straight or tapered? The only reason I ask is there seem to be some discrepancies in the description and the selection bar has "white, 150mm/ QR15/ tpr." which may indicate a tapered steerer tube, but in the picture the s/ tube is straight.

Somebody straighten this out: this fork for sale is a 2010 model, and the 2011 has 150mm of travel. But it's stated as 150mm capable. So what year is it? Did Marzoch refurbish the 2010 lot as previously answered by somebody here?

Or is the travel really 130mm, with the extra 20mm stuffed into the negative Ti spring; the a2c really the length of a lower travel fork?

Please give me the real skinny here- it would be most appreciated! Thank You!

Just what I was looking for!

I was looking for a fork with a little more travel so I could turn my previously XC hardtail into an AM hardtail. Still haven't had time to test it out on the trail and tune it up, but so far I've been very pleased. Great looking fork, easy to use, lockout is very accessible. Very solid design, no wobbles, very smooth travel, no bottoming out even on the very lowest end of air pressure. I am looking forward to many excellent rides with this fork in the future!

My bike is so happy right now with this fork that it literally pedaled the last few miles today for me...it was tricky to adjust...I had to use the high end of Marzocchi's chart for air psi for it to feel right for me (75 psi for 175lb rider), rebound two clicks slow from fastest and setting...play around with it. When you find the spot it does what it's supposed to...a well-behaved fork at a great price...when in doubt..HuckNRoll

Deal of a Lifetime!

Awesome deal...I was worried about some reports about 'knocking' and an adjustment that would have to be made to this fork. I e-mailed Marzocchi and this is their reply, "Your fork is fine. That series of the 44 only had one problem and it was just a bumper that needed to be trimmed to avoid a knock. We modified all of the forks before they left here for Hucknroll." That made me feel much better...the price of this had me worried but now Life is Good! P.S. It also came with a pump!

re: Travel
So my understanding is that the 2010 44s are still 140mm while the 2011 44s are 150mm. If these are 2010, how is it the description for this item says 150mm? Was there a batch of OEs that were 150mm?

Is this part of the early 2010 production that didn't perform very well? Is that the reason it's on sale?

Recently bought a 44 micro ti, and the air pressure seems too light. Can you increase it with a high pressure pump?

On the ordering section, it says 15mm, which is the thru axle.
