A coordinated approach to winter.

When the weather starts out cold but has hopes of warming up a bit, the Maloja MargunM Bib Tights step in to save the day in style with its perfectly matched pair of cold weather-ready bib shorts and leg warmers. Billed as tights due to the seamless interaction between Maloja's silicone lined Skin Strap leg bands and inkl. Legwarmers, the MargunMs are a versatile addition to any cycling wardrobe.

The bib shorts and leg warmers are both made from MitiTech Thermal fabric for softness to keep you cozy through frigid winter base miles. In addition to its ridiculous softness, MitiTech boasts a pairing of warm insulation and moisture-wicking breathability to keep you warm and dry through the hardest of efforts.

The MargunM Bib Tights include Maloja's HD ERG chamois, featuring a seamless design that nearly eliminates friction. Strategic layering of multi-thickness high-density foam provides impact protection while perforations ventilate moisture away from the body to prevent uncomfortable clammy chamois occasions. Flatlock stitching eliminates chafing or pinching and zippers at each ankle allow for easy donning or removal out on the road. For a bit of flair, Maloja finishes these tights off with color-coordinated striping at the leg bands to brighten up those cloudy winter days.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Bend to the side and measure around the place where your waist bends, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hip.
Measure from the crotch to the floor with no shoes.

Read the fine print

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Note that these are NOT bib tights. They are a "perfectly matched pair of cold weather-ready bib shorts and leg warmers". They do look nice, but they were not what I was seeking.

The second problem: I measured the chammy and it's incredibly narrow. I measured it to 14.5 cm at the widest point. I do have wide sit bones --- for saddles I need 155mm or more --- but this is still the narrowest chammy I've ever seen. For reference, I have some assos at 17cm, endura that are 19cm, and another brand that's 18cm. The true test is to wear them on a ride, unfortunately that precludes returning them, so the ruler is the best way I have of determining fit, and by that metric they're wildly off the mark.
