cold knee caps make me sad

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

fit is great, easy to get on, long enough, not too tight, don't bunch behind the knee, or droop from my thighs. They're somehow thinner than you'd expect them to feel but warmer than thicker leg warmers that I'm used to (and which would bunch behind my knee and leave unsightly marks!)

La bomba!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Got these as a gift, and I gotta say they are some great leg warmers. The wind block turns any pair of bibs into a sweet pair of winter tights. Super warm and their wicking properties are stellar. Every time I pull them off after a ride, I'm amazed by just how dry and warm my legs are, and how wet the warmers are from pulling away the sweat. I have a 32' inseam, and wear a size L. They fit pretty good although there is ever so slight bunching behind the knee. Totally not an issue, but I've been accused of being too "princess & the pea" (take that however you like...).

I think it's just my leg shape though. The medium was just a tad too tight. Great stuff.

LG wind leg warmers

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

My go to leg warmer. They are on my leg or in my jersey at all times hot or cool.

O.K. I am an older guy and knees like to be warm. Also like Ibex and Gore windblockers. 6' 0" 177 pounds I own med and large, large being a better fit, the med are only a 1/4" shorter and seem to be the same dia.

These leg warmers are great! I've worn them in extremely wet and windy conditions down in temps as low as low 20's Fht. The spray from the road(even w/fenders)does not penetrate the fabric and I feel virtually no wind. They fit slightly loose(95%)compared to leg warmers that have no wind/wet protection fabric as this protection is a tad less form fitting which is OK to create a slight air barrier which is good in freezing temps. (Depends on size; I use large @ 5'10"-175lbs. if I was an inch shorter I'd use medium.)Really well made w/lots of functional details, stitching&reflective bits. Excellent product! Thanks LG...and RealCyclist.

Are these completely fleece lined vs windproof front w/fleece rear only?

full Fleece lined with windproof front.. Great product.

Is there a sizing chart for leg warmers?

Is there a sizing chart for leg warmers?

    Best Answer

In general sizing by companies making knee and leg warmers tend to follow inseam sizing. However, since knee/leg warmers are also a function of the size of your leg diameter (Hamstring & Quad circumference) you need to think about this measurement as well. Remember that warmer lengths are not your inseam since you are covering your leg from the middle of the legs in your shorts to your ankle, so these measurements would be shorter than a inseam that matches.
For example: I am a 33" inseam but have lean muscle and thus not very large quads/hammi's. I can wear a (L) but prefer a (M) due to the diameter of my quad/hammi.
Here are some basics for leg warmer measurements. Ride On.

    XS - 23" length 16" quad/upper leg

    S - 24" length 18" quad/upper leg

    M - 25" length 20" quad/upper leg

    L - 26" length 22" quad/upper leg

    XL - 27" length 24" quad/upper leg
