Time trials are won or lost in hundredths of a second, which is why aerodynamics count for so much in your race-day kit. The Louis Garneau Vorttice Speed Suit can give you the edge that will put you on the podium. From the drag-reducing Speed Tech fabric to the hemless, gripperless Aero Lazer bands at the cuffs and the aerodynamic, fatigue-reducing compressive fit, everything about the Vorttice is designed to make you faster.

Garneau uses proprietary Speed Tech fabric for the Vorttice to help you on your push to the top. Just as the dimples on a golf ball help it fly faster and truer, dimples in the Speed Tech fabric improve your aerodynamics by inducing a layer of turbulence at the fabric's surface, which actually speeds up airflow over the fabric. Speed Tech is optimized for a speed range of 15 to 45 miles per hour. Your aerodynamic profile is also enhanced by the hemless, gripperless Aero Lazer bands at the cuffs that also reduce drag by smoothing the transition from fabric to skin.

Because of its hydrophilic properties, Speed Tech wicks moisture rapidly to keep you dry and comfortable; it also protects you from harmful UV rays with a UPF rating of 50. The Vorttice’s compressive fit and Aero Lazer cuffs provide muscle support to absorb vibration and reduce fatigue. The 11.25-inch short is seamless at the inner thigh for smooth, friction-less pedaling. A 15-inch invisible zipper at the front enables easy on-off and post-race ventilation.

Louis Garneau's patented, top-of-the-line 4Motion chamois features combines 3D pre-shaped wings with a deep split at the back that is bridged by vented mesh; this not only offers exceptional ventilation, but allows the pad to move with you without bunching. Large, mesh-lined perforations in the front also allow air to circulate. The multi-density, perforated memory foam is ergonomically designed with a central channel that relieves pressure on the urethra during long rides. The seamless, four-way stretch 4Motion chamois features an antibacterial carbon top sheet to control odor, and pre-molded wings to add comfort while protecting against inner-thigh chafing.

The Louis Garneau Vorttice Speed Suit comes in Black/white. It is available in sizes X-Small to XX-Large.

  • 4 Motion multi-thickness, high-density foam chamois features preshaped wings, vented mesh, and an anti-bacterial treatment for excellent comfort
  • Lazer Rev fabric contains spandex for full stretch and shape recovery while offering compression and support to maximize performance
  • Speed Tech fabric uses a dimpled mesh construction for improved aerodynamics during speeds above 14mph
  • Hydrophilic Speed Tech and mesh team up to pull perspiration from your skin and provide cooling ventilation

Here's what others have to say...

Excellent suit

This is the business. I'm a dedicated tt'r so I've had a few suits over the years and while I've had some good ones, I've never had a perfect one until the Vorttice. Excellent chamois for riding with hips rolled forward (essential and where many fail) and excellent fit throughout. Minor complaints would be lack of tab on the back for race number and the sleeves could be .5 inches shorter but that's minor. I'm 5'10 and 160 pounds and the medium fits like a glove if that helps.

Looks great and fits good, but be careful of the stitching in the center above the crotch, around the diaphragm. I arched my back (a little) and some of the threads popped. Not a huge deal as it still fits fine, but bummed because if you look closely you can see that about a half inch of the stitching is unraveling a bit. The chamois is top notch.
