Solid Toe Warmers

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

What can I say - they do their job well. I use them in 35-60 degree weather. I tend to be rough on gear and these have been durable to date.

Best I've used

It was a hard choice between these and the T-covers, but I went with these. I love 'em. My previous toe covers had stitching on the bottoms around the cleat hole. That thread got caught in my pedal spindle and destroyed the cover. Not these LGs. The bottom is a solid piece that fits easily over my Speedplay cleat. I've used these in temperatures down to 44F. In that weather, combined with wool socks, my toes only got cold after 12 miles (a lot for me in that temperature). In warmer temperatures, I've no issues with these at all. They wear well and do their job. I recommend them if you're in the market for toe covers.

Louis Garneau Toe 2 Shoe Cover

These are a nice little addition to your shoes when the weather is too cold for no shoe covers, but not cold enough for full shoe covers. I like to wear these under a pair of socks with a hole cut in the bottom for the cleats. It just makes it a tad warmer, and socks over the top of shoes always looks cool. The socks alone are usually pretty ineffective, so these toe covers under the socks make for quite a good option if the weather is cold.
