Windblock in all the right places

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I purchased these for my husband for x-country skiing and shoulder season cycling and he is in love with them. If you are looking for a compression pant look else were, if you want semi fitted tight these are them. The inside is a fleecy feel the entire pant has great stretch, even where the windblock material is. He pairs these up with a compression pant on really cold days (15 and below).

Good value

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

Good value, but it's been my experience with LG insulating tights and bibs that they run big. I always size down 1 size. YMMV.

Not very impressed

These tights are comfortable to a point and that is only because of the liner. The down side is that the moisture build up did not wick away as claimed, moisture literally sat on my skin. The temperature of the ride was 57 degrees and the distance traveled was 52 miles. The seam work on these did not feel as comfortable as my Thermal Pearl Izumi's (though these were about 20 bucks cheaper). On a cool ride it is always great to have tights but when you put out the necessary effort to go 52 miles you really need a product that will match your efforts and remove that sweat build up to keep you warm and comfortable for the entire ride. After the first 20 miles I had a chill that would not leave. Lastly, the lack of adequate reflectivity makes for dangerous biking, Buyer beware.

At 57 degrees I'm bare-legged. To each his own, I guess, but these are clearly for colder temperatures and I would expect some sweat buildup at anything over 50 degrees.
