Louis Garneau Pro 7.25 Women's Shorts $0.00
In a race against the clock, speed is only one part of the winning equation. And as many triathlon designers apparently haven't heard, comfort accounts for the rest. Luckily, Louis Garneau gets it, and its Pro 7.25 Women's Shorts are a shining example of decades of experience. Finally, shorts that you don't have to be told are women's -- the fit says it all.
To perform in and out of the water, Louis Garneau made its Pro 7.25 Shorts from a blend of materials, with each fabric playing a vital role in the tri-characteristics of the shorts. The primary material, a jack-of-all-trades called Delfino, features a dimpled mesh structure that efficiently breathes, wicks, and vents during your run or ride. And whether you're in the water or out of it, the fabric has incredible hydro and aerodynamic properties. Delfino also has slight compressive qualities for muscle support, and it's resistant to chlorine for training in the pool. However, in the tri-arena, the largest benefit to this material is its resistance to water absorption. This means that you'll be drier, faster than the competition when it's time to jump in the saddle.
To guarantee a full-range of movement, Garneau used the Carbon-X Mesh fabric on the rear of the thighs. This material is extremely malleable and promotes a better blood flow while supporting your muscles. In fact, Garneau claims that its compressive properties promote a 10 to 20% increase in resistance to fatigue. The Carbon construction also possess immense anti-static properties that prevent the body's absorption of random static energy or air-born pollutants. For the most important cycling piece of the Pro Shorts, the chamois, Garneau used the Tri Air chamois. This chamois is incredibly lightweight and quick-drying -- an essential feature after the swim. It makes use of a thin, four-way stretch design that allows comfort and support in the saddle, but prevents discomfort on the swim or run. The Tri Air has also been given an anti-bacterial treatment, so it won't get funky during training.
The Pro Shorts use a six-panel construction and a 7.25in inseam to make movement effortless. Lycra Powerbands hold the legs in place, and the waist is secured with a wide band, similar to what you find from a yoga pant. Along the line of comfort, flatlock seams have been used throughout the shorts to minimize abrasion. For motivation, or race-radio storage, Garneau has included a multimedia pocket and one back pocket. For night training, the shorts also has reflective logos on the back and bottom.
The Louis Garneau Pro 7.25 Women's Shorts are available in the colors Black/white, Black/flash blue/white, and Black/fluo pink/white. They're also being offered in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

I purchased these shorts for the Chicago Triathlon this past August and I was very pleased with how these shorts performed. The chamois dried during my bike and I didn't notice any chafing. I felt comfortable during the swim and the run as well. I didn't have adjust these shorts at all during the race. Definitely a good product :) I've raced a couple times with these shorts so I don't know how long they'll last but I have I high hopes!
