Get warmer.

Skip all that pre-ride, cold-weather stress and slip into the Louis Garneau Mondo Primo Bib Tights. Born out of a collaboration between Competitive Cyclist and Louis Garneau, these bib tights will keep you warm and dry through long winter base miles.

These tights are made from a mix of Louis Garneau's Vuelta and Super Light Dry fabrics for the perfect combination of coziness paired with wind blocking warmth and water-repelling dryness to stay comfy through all the cold, wet miles. Ankle zippers cinch the leg bands securely over socks to block out errant wind gusts, and reflective elements increase visibility to motorists in low-light and dreary conditions.

The Mondo Primo Bib Tights include Louis Garneau's 4 Motion chamois, featuring a patented ergonomic shape that nearly eliminates friction for a comfy, chafe-free ride every time you hit the road. A strategic layering of multi-thickness, perforated, high-density foam provides impact protection and moves moisture away from the body to prevent any uncomfortable clammy chamois situations.

Litttle thermal protection on the shins

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I love these except for the shins - just a very thin, NOT waterproof, sort of plasticky material. Really weird - might have been OK for back of the leg, but not the front. The thighs are nicely thermal and the front shins are zero thermal. Would give these a 5 otherwise. I actually liked the shiny finish and thought it looked and felt rather cool but that is a matter a taste. As noted, the finish is NOT water resistant - I rode several times in rain and they soaked through almost instantly. Perhaps there was a water=proofing finish that washed off but if so it did mighty fast and easily.

Good quality but with a shiny finish

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

Only tried them on, felt like a nice fit. I'm 5'10" 180 and selected L. Would have been a 4-5 star rating but the finish is so shiny the tights look like a super hero costume (my opinion). These are going back.

The "shiny finish super hero costume" I assume is in reference the "Super Light Dry" Fabric that makes up the panels on the back and side of the calves, the shins, top of upper thighs and on the rear end. Those are close to waterproof and placed in areas specific to the riding position. It's meant for inclement weather, so I'm not sure OP was aware that these differ from average bibs. I haven't ridden them in the pouring rain yet, but in the wet. They fit great. I'll write a review after a few more rides in the cold and wet but I'm thinking a 4 or 5 stars for sure already, and the price with a discount code is less than $164 that list for $300, and made in the USA with fabrics from Europe.
