These bibs are the real deal. They are my first pair of bibs but I can tell you now I'll never be going back. Usually ride PI Pro shorts and while I love them these bibs will be beating them out from now on. The length is long (which I like) and the aero laser cut gripper/leg bands are one of my favorite things about these bibs. I was worried about the shoulder straps digging in or moving around but nothing doing there, comfortable all the way. Chamois is great and not too bulky although I have yet to do any long rides. Just picked up a second pair and my biggest dilemma is whether to save them for when I invariably wear out the first pair or just rock them both this season. Aside from the fit, I personally hate all the pink, pale blue, purple, flowery color schemes etc women's gear is often in, men's gear (IMHO) looks so much sharper and catches my eye. These bibs look killer, perfect for all you kick-ass women out there ruling the road or envious wanna-be pros (like me) who just want to look the part and love everything about the sport :-)
My hubby bought these for me for my birthday. I'm 5'7', 130 lbs and the medium fit perfectly. I rode my bike to work, I got the gift and wore them home that night. That was yesterday...I'm here online buying a second pair today. They're that good, period. PS-This is the first pair of bibs I've owned...I'll never go back!
I am 5'7" and 73kg and bought the large size, great fit.
Have done a few 30-50km rides in these and i'm pretty happy with them over all. The Chamois has good padding, not too bulky, but also ventilated. I haven't had any problems with bunching or saddle sores developing after back to back rides.(always washed in between) The leg bands are really comfortable. I have big thighs and often find the bottom band of the legs in shorts are uncomfortable once i start riding and my quads are working alot. These leg bands stop this happening and still grip really well and stop them riding up. The bib part is really well made, sits just right so as not to obstruct breathing, but not too hot (even in humid Sydney summer! 80% at the moment) There are some nice ventilation details right near your hip bones too. Also no problems with the lycra going see-through when stretched which I have found on a few different brand new shorts in the past.
Only gripe is I would love to see a variety of colour choices. (the absence of pink is a plus though) Wish I had bought a few pairs, these are the best i've owned yet.
I used to be a Pearl Izumi bib girl, but this is my new favorite bib. I LOVE the flat seams at the leg and the length and compression of the whole leg/lower portion. The chamois is flat but super comfortable for long (40+ mile) rides. The straps have no extra snap or ridiculous closure that other manufacturers think women need to keep these straps in place: they stay put just fine. The height of the side panels hit in a great place: not too low so that that extra five lbs. squeezes out. Very flattering altogether. If I had any complaint, it's that the white panels at the hip area don't always go so well with multi-colored jerseys, and the black straps and upper portion show through most of my light colored jerseys. This, however, didn't stop me from buying a whole year's supple of these bibs.
These are currently my #1 favorite bib, and that's saying a lot since I've been a loyal Capo fan for probably six years. These bibs fit great and the chamois is amazing, comparable to the Capo bibs, if not better. I wish they made an identical pair without the white band at the bottom as it can make matching jerseys tricky and I prefer all black bibs. They are currently on sale and so I scooped up 3 pairs as the price on this site could not be beat. Time will tell how long they hold up after lots of rides and washes. Overall, great fit and comfortable bibs. I would highly recommend them.
These shorts are great. They look hot and perform. Only got 4 stars because the stickers on the sides started to come off after only a few washes...I will hand wash my next pair. I literally wore these things out!
I have a few other bibs, Capo Cipressa Bib Short, Castelli Body Paint, Descente Estrada.. This leg band seems like an extension of the shorts, I love it. I'm 5'8 160lbs and wear a large. Works well with my longer torso. My favorite bib. Works well in heat. I live in S. FL and ride 30-40 miles at a time. Fits true to size
