Description

The Louis Garneau Mistral Jersey proves that you don’t have to go into foreclosure to get your hands on serious cycling gear. The Mistral boasts high-performance fabric and essential features that will keep you at the head of the peloton with guys who dropped twice as much on their jerseys.

Airdry fabric is the secret to the Mistral’s performance. The small inner cell construction enhances airflow to cool your skin. This celled construction also speeds the drying process by creating a pocket of air between the skin and fabric. It carries a UPF rating of 20 to help protect your skin from the sun’s rays. The fabric’s mechanical stretch properties allow a full range of motion and added durability.

Garneau placed mesh panels under the arms, across the collar bone area, and across the upper back for airflow. The mesh is made with spandex for added mobility and reduced chafing.

The 15in zipper lets you dump heat in a hurry, and three angled back pockets give you quick, easy access to your supplements. The elastic hem gripper keeps the Carbon Ion from riding up your back as you crank, and reflective elements make you more visible in the twilight. Garneau’s Pro Fit provides excellent aerodynamics and muscle support.

The Louis Garneau Mistral Jersey 2 comes in Blue, White, Yellow, and Red. It is available in sizes X-Small to XX-Large.

  • Elastic at hem prevents jersey from riding up
  • Rounded collar is comfortable
  • MP3 pocket carries all your tunes
  • Front and back reflective logos keep you visible to motorists in low light

BRIGHT...and pretty nice!

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

I bought this 99% for the blaze orange color (I live and ride in national forests with a lot of hunters) and the fact that it was on sale for $25. However, it's also got a really nice set of pockets in the back, which impressed me as well once I put it on. Much more secure than the pockets on some other jerseys I've worn.

One thing--I usually wear a men's medium, and I ordered a large figuring it'd be a bit baggy so I could layer under it (and you need to, if you're riding in sub-70 weather--the fabric is very light, almost meshy). NOT SO. Definitely consider sizing up--the large fits pretty tight; can't imagine what my normal size would have done.
