Warm knees.

It's certainly not their only application, but knee warmers such as the Louis Garneau Knee Warmers 2 are popular at cyclocross races. Why? Because they strike an effective balance between providing the insulation you need at the knee and minimizing the total amount of fabric you're wearing. After all, cross races are a messy affair in most parts of the globe, and all that clinging mud and water can weigh you down if you're over-dressed.

The Knee Warmers 2 are made of Garneau's HeatMaxx fabric, a polyester/elastane blend with a brushed fleece back to retain body heat. A silicone gripper at the thigh keeps each knee warmer from sliding down and bunching at the knee. Flatlock seams ensure minimal friction against your skin, and a reflective logo on the shin adds some extra visibility. The Knee Warmers 2 also have a UPF/SPF rating of 50.

The Louis Garneau Knee Warmers 2 come in sizes X-Small through X-Large and in two colors: Black and White.

  • HeatMaxx fabric
  • Brushed fleece lining
  • Flatlock seams
  • Silicone gripper cuff
  • UPF/SPF 50 sun protection
  • Reflective logo

Great warmers

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: X-Small

I'm 5'7" and 130lbs with very small calves. I got the X Small and they fit perfectly. They're tight, but there's plenty of stretch and they don't slip down. The two beads of sticky stuff on the top hem are great, one for your leg, and one for your shorts over top.

Do not buy this product. do not stay up, keep falling, they are warm and soft, but keep falling.

Solid knee warmers at a decent price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Great bang for your buck - one trick to using them is to make sure you throw them on under your shammy bladder legs (or straight bike shorts if you're on the road). The have some grippy rubber that keeps them from falling down but I still have yet to find the miracle knee warmers that stay up with ease. Layering them underneath your bike shorts helps with that.

Great leg warmers.

Comfortable, warm, quality material and silicone gripper that doesn't wear out quickly or sag. Sizing chart ran true to size for me. Good buy!

stitching came loose & some discomfort

I also have Nashbar knee warmers but these are a step up in quality and fit. I like that the LG knee warmers come in sizes. Some of the really cheap knee warmers are one size fits all which doesn?t work. I was happy to able to get a small sized knee warmer for my skinny legs (I?m 5?9? and 145 lbs.) and they work like knee warmers should. They cover my knee, go down to slightly below the knee, and sit slightly above my knee. My other knee warmers come up and go down way too far making them more like leg warmers. They grip well at the top and bottom and I haven?t had any problems with them bunching up under my knee which is a definite issue with the ones from Nashbar. The fabric feels good and they are fleece lined but not overly warm. I wore them in temps that were in the high 60?s and I kept them on all day. The seam occasionally causes annoyance on longer rides but it?s nothing too distracting. Overall they?re a decent knee warmer for $29 but I was disappointed that after two years the stitching for the grippers came loose. Next time I?ll try something different in hopes of better durability and comfort.

Love these knee warmers. Easy to throw on at the top of the climb before the downhill so your knees stay warm during a brisk fall ride. Easiest way to size is by thigh-size. If you have skinny legs, go small, med/avg legs go med, and big quads, go large.
