Comfort in any weather.

There are many riders who prefer the ease and simplicity of bib-less cycling shorts. For cooler weather, the Louis Garneau Fit Sensor Shorts have the ideal fit and fabric to keep you moving.

The Fit Sensors are sewn from a fabric that features a nylon, abrasion-resistant outer layer that also serves to keep out bone-chilling cold. The inner layer, on the other hand, is soft, brushed polyester that wicks away moisture from your skin so that if you exert effort and start to sweat, you’ll remain warm and dry. The shorts are woven with Lycra that helps them to mold to your muscles and provide a degree of compressive support.

The Insert in the Fit Sensors is the Airzone chamois, and it features multiple small perforations to increase air circulation and prevent moisture buildup. It is constructed from seamless, four-way stretch material with an antibacterial treatment. The edges have been beveled for comfort during long rides.

  • Fit Sensor abrasion-resistant outer fabric
  • Brushed fleece interior
  • SPF 50
  • Airzone chamois

Quality Biking Shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This is one of the best pairs I've owned due to price and quality. It breaths well and has help up for all of my rides.

Comfortable functional and right price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

For the price, it will be really hard to find a better pair of cycling shorts. They are ridiculously comfortable and provide more than enough protection for the long rides ( just did a 60 miler with these). These fit true to size as I am 5'10 190lbs and the large fit great. Bottom line- if you are looking for a great pair of shorts for a great price do yourself a favor and go with these.

Best yet

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After 20+ years of going through various shorts/bibs/etc., these are my favorites. The fit is spot-on, compression is just right, and I can spend 2+ hrs mountain biking in them and not have to make any mid-ride 'adjustments' if you know what I mean. I'm 5'7", 155lbs and the small fits great.

Great Fit for Me. Good looks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These shorts go down a bit further toward the knee cap than my other shorts. I have thin legs at the knees, which with other shorts means that the lower part of the leg is a bit loose. Not with these shorts. They are tight and fit right all the way.

They look fine as well with the contrasting stitching.

The ride feel is fine, but to be honest, I can't tell that much of difference in between shorts and chamois.

I'm 5'10" and weigh 165. The mediums fit great.

Great use of mixed fabrics

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The best bike shorts I have used. They are very well padded and stay where they are supposed to on long rides. Don't bother with the more expensive shorts, these are the ones to get. I really like how there's different elasticity in places you need it. I am a 36 waist and the large fits perfect.

No problems with these shorts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm 6'3" and 165lbs and a Medium fits me well. The waist-band does ride pretty high, and I often roll it down an inch or so, with no loss of comfort. The chamois is excellent and even better if you throw some chamois butt'r in there. Follow the washing instructions (cold water only) for best longevity. I'm looking to get some Fit Sensor bibs, but with my height, I'm not sure if if the medium will be too short height-wise.

Great all day comfort on these shorts though - buy with confidence.

Lightweight & Cool

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These biking shorts are extremely comfortable. I use them on my touring bike (put 240 miles on last weekend) and they kept me cool and comfortable. I especially like the cuff and the long inseam. I'm 5'10.5" and 165 lbs with long legs and a short torso. I ordered the medium ("M") and they fit very well. Wash before use to avoid a little chaffing. I recommend these short to anyone looking for comfort in the heat of Summer.

Also, these shorts are quite stretchy and will adjust to a variety of body types. On me, they give good compression while not feeling at all restrictive.

Excellent Shorts

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

If you want quality, well padded chamois shorts for road biking, then these are the shorts. It is hard to beat Louis Garneau apparel. They come up high enough on the waist to eliminate any possible chance of exposure.

LG Fit Sensor 2 Shorts

Got these for my dad since he's never had real cycling shorts before and I had talked him into doing a 50 mile charity ride with me. He still felt a little sore towards the end of the ride, but was happy to have some legit gear for future rides. He usually wears a large, got him a large and the fit is great, so I'd say these run true to size.

Great shorts

The chamois of my go-to shorts had worn soft and it was time to replace. Of course, the manufacturer changed those and the reviews of the new ones were mixed so I went with Louie even though they are a bit more. Great compression, great chamois. The waist is a bit high and my belly makes it roll over but that's never uncomfortable during a ride. Get on sale and a great deal. I've since ordered 3 more.

How is the fit? Does it run tight or large....

How is the fit? Does it run tight or large. I'm 5'9" 180 lbs. I'm thinking XL if they run tight. Thank you.

I'm 5-11 and 190 and wear a medium. My weight has fluctuated 170-190 and have always worn mediums no matter what brand.

Responded on

I am also 5'9" and 190. I wear XL. In slacks I wear a size 36 waist. Took a spill off my bike recently. Slid on a rough road with loose gravel. On my hip and leg had a nice strawberry. The shorts held up without tear. Wearing for a year, every Saturday, 60 miles average. Still in good shape.

Good deal for a good pair of shorts

Normally I'm a bib man, but got a pair of shorts for shorter rides and commuting. Found these to be the best pair of shorts I've ever had. They have great compression, a good feel to them, and surprisingly the chamois seems to stay where it needs to on my rides. The fabric is incredible and seems very high quality. These should prove to be great shorts for training, and shorter rides around town. I would definitely buy these again.
