Shorts for the long haul.

Not every day can be 85 degrees and sunny, but that doesn't mean you always need to layer up for winter to stay comfortable. Louis Garneau designed the Fit Sensor 2 Shorts to help your body regulate internal temperatures when the external temperatures are moderate, falling between the extremes of summer and winter. You get all the LG fundamentals, such as a 10-panel anatomical construction, seamless inner thighs, back and bottom reflective logos, and flatlock seams, but it's the fabric that's the star.

Fit Sensor is LG's do-it-all fabric, presenting a nylon outer layer to the elements that's abrasion-resistant and keeps out wind. The material's inner layer is brushed polyester, whose soft touch insulates lightly and wicks moisture away from your skin. The high Lycra content ensures a comfortable fit and provides gently compressive muscle support to reduce the fatiguing effects of road vibration. LG also incorporates Powerbands at the cuffs to keep the shorts in place with yet more compression.

The AirZone chamois features a smooth transition from pad to fabric to eliminate pinching and chafing. LG also reduces the size of the vents in the chamois, but doubles their number, which increases comfort and durability. The seamless, four-way stretch AirZone is finished with an anti-bacterial treatment and pre-molded wings to add comfort while protecting against inner-thigh chafing.

mixed bag

living in florida i'm able to ride year round, which i do. my weekly average is 6 rides and 190 miles a week. saddle sores had been an on-and-off issue, but unfortunately were becoming a chronic problem and impacting other facets of my life, not just cycling enjoyment. having made no changes to my saddle or saddle position i attributed the problem to aging cycling shorts.
so i purchased these and i really like the cut, feel, and workmanship. the spandex part of the shorts feels amazing, they look great, and i also like the drawstring. the length is also perfect.
do you sense a butt coming here? unfortunately the chamois doesn't work for me. and its totally subjective so i don't know how helpful this review is going to be.
after getting these shorts and not getting any relief i took a bigger swing at it and bought two pair of assos bibs and some pinarello bibs (made by giordano). after wearing those bibs and handwashing them in woolite after riding my saddle sores went away. then i returned to these LGs again, and washed them by hand in woolite too, and the saddle sores came back.
in short, they're great shorts for the money but the chamois doesnt work for me. i keep them for backups only.
If the chamois works for you i think these could be a real homerun for the money.

Life on the road is far more comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

By "road" what I really mean is "in my spin class". I bought these shorts after my first class, which left me unable to sit comfortably in my chair at work for 2 days. Have worn these shorts in every class since and the discomfort is now behind me. Sorry, I didn't think photos would be appropriate

Too small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Small

I used the product sizing and that would indicate me to buy the size small. I have a size 30 waist. However, it just doesn't fit right. I wear a size medium in Costelli and it seems that a medium would be the same size here. Shorts seems fine, never wore them on a bike, but the quality was as expected, just sizing not right.
