First Bib Shorts - Great

I'm a fairly new rider as of the beginning of the year. Ordered these bibs, and could not be happier with the fit and shammy coverage. I have ridden in these bibs on rides averaging between 25-50 miles, and they are as comfortable after as they were before my legs rubberize. 6'1", 210 lbs, xl fits great. Wish I had bought more from Bonktown.

First bibs

These were my first pair of bibs and I loved them from the start. Great for hours on the saddle. As a sizing reference I am 6' 150lbs with a 30 inseam and the small and mediums fit great. I have all the colors and love them all.

Great bib short, great price

I'm 72 inches tall, about 180 lbs. Purchased a large and it fits very well. Good compression, more comfortable than most bibs I've had in the past. I purchased the yellow and they were true to color also. They stay where I put them which is also a plus, unlike some others I've had. I've been very happy with them and would recommend them. Thanks for selling me another quality product at a good price.

Comfortable Bibs

I have logged about 200 miles in these bibs. All good so far. Bought based upon sizing chart, they feel small when putting on, but work great on my rides

Go-to shorts

5' 7"

I ordered a size small and I have to peel the shorts off after the ride, but they feel great on the bike. I was a little hesitant when first putting them on as they appeared too small, but once on they fit perfectly. I am seriously considering a second pair. Chamois is better than my Descente Aero X or Capo Modenas.

Now a review for the fat guys out there! Yes 5'8" and 190 is not a cyclist body but more of a sausage body, but having put in over 6k miles in the past half a year and dropping 2 short sizes I figured I needed something a bit better that could take the miles, abuse and be a bit more comfy. I found em. I've worn Giordanas, Pearl Attacks and PI Elite Inrcool, as well as some house brands and these are in a different league.

The compressive fit feels tight at first. and although I usually wear a L in LG and PI brand I tried these on at a local bike shop. The XL fit more like a large that was a bit snug so I ordered them. This was the right size. And every ride I am amazed how my muscles still seem to feel fresh while riding over some of the nastiest roads and bumps around. The leg bands beat any grippers I have worn by a country mile.

The chamois is also great. absorbs perspiration and still seems to stay dry. I did get a bit of camel toe at first and they did smash the goods a bit but once I started riding everything stayed where it should and was very comfortable once I was in my riding position.

The XL bib straps are a bit tall for my height but very manageable- actually I would rather have them less tight then digging into my skin. I ordered a pair and immediately realized I needed another. If you are looking for something a bit better, give them a try I think you'll be very impressed.

Great Bibs!

Im 5'10" at 170 ant the large fit great. Great compression and a top end chamois. I ride 80-130 miles a week and they hold up with out a doubt.

Amazing bibs

I was hesitant before ordering these due to the low price at Bonktown. After reading the helpful reviews here I took a gamble and ordered 2 pair. Best bibs I've ever worn! Not only do they look great, but they conform to your body perfectly. Sizing is spot-on. I'm 6'1", 165lbs, 34" inseam. Perfect fit. Just as a side note, these are compression fitting bibs. They feel too small at first, but they are not. The leg length is nice and long and don't ride up like some others out there. All in all, top quality bibs. After ordering 2, I went back and ordered another pair for backup.

Nice bibs

Definitely my nicest bibs so far. Fit is tight, but comfortable. Makes my Capos (size medium, and a bit too large for me) feel like mountain bike shorts.

Great fit and look. Comfy after 50-70miles

My last pair of LG shorts were about 3 years old. I think they were ergo-fit.... not sure of the exact name. But i wore a size large. I followed the sizing chart and got the XL as well as a L just for comparison. I could not get the large past my knee. The XL fit like a glove and the shoulder straps were not even noticeable. I have been a a few longer rides and I love the new leg grippers. The old gel style would rip hair out of my legs (didnt matter what brand).

Well made and very comfortable

Nice bibs for the money. Feels great! Looks great! I think that the chamois compared to Sugoi RS or RSE is not as good, but close, less 1 star. I'm 5' 10.5", 33 waist. 22.5" diam thigh. Tried medium, too small. Large fit well.

Update after a couple hundred miles. Love these shorts. 5 stars!

Does anyone know how these compare to...

Does anyone know how these compare to Hincapie bibs? I wear a size L in Hincapie which is a 32-34 waist, and with these the Medium is 34 while the large is 36.

Responded on

These are lightyears better than the Hincapie bibs. I actually own both pair (Hincapie Legado) and these LG's. I'll be using my Hincapie as indoor training shorts and wearing these for my real rides. Hincapie runs a bit on the large side and the legs are shorter (also ride up on you). These conform to your body and stay there.

I am 5'10" and 162lbs with a 32" waist....

I am 5'10" and 162lbs with a 32" waist. Should I go for the mediums or size up to large? I have the Hincapie Legado bibs in medium and they fit tight but are wearable. How do these compare in sizing?

Responded on

Don't think you have to size up with LG. It's pretty accurate. My 36" waist usually requires a XL in a Hincapie or XXL in a European brand. With LG I went with the Large and it fits perfectly.

Great fit and great chamois.

Best chamois I have ever ridden on. I have used Castelli, Sportful, Pearl Izumi, Hincapie, and Giordana. This is by far the most comfortable. Will probably buy another color when it shows up on BonkTown again.

Great shorts

Love the airgel chamois for long distance. Tighter fit than the Carbon Lazer bib, apparently by design.
