Occasionally, a helmet turns our heads and makes us stare in awe. As of late, this honor has gone to the Louis Garneau Diamond Helmet. With a sleek, customizable design and a strong, comfortable construction, the Diamond Helmet has the looks that you want and the protection that you need.

The Diamond Helmet is one of Garneau's lightest helmets, with structural elements that make it both beautiful and tough. One important detail of the Diamond is its Monocoque Structural Base. This means that the in-molded micro-shell wraps around the bottom of the helmet and into the interior. The second major structural component is Garneau's 'Composite Reinforcement.' The bridges of exposed Silver carbon continue underneath the plastic shell and are all connected. This web of composite material, similar to what's used in motorcycle helmets, provides superior impact protection by preventing the helmet from coming apart in a crash. This system works in conjunction with the Exo-Insert -- two thin strips of plastic shell that are molded into the interior. We can't recall the last time that we've seen a more impressive efforts to offer substantial armament in a stylish, lightweight package.

In addition to offering supreme protection for your head, the Diamond has Garneau's Spiderlock Elite retention system. It hangs separately from the webbing straps and is free to move up or down before you dial it in for a perfect fit. To tighten it, simply use one hand to turn the adjustment wheel and it takes up any extra space. Fitting the web straps is easy, because Garneau uses a camlocking slider on each side. This eliminates any excuse for loose straps at the temple.

Garneau went with a more is more approach to ensure that the Diamond has unmatched ventilation. It has a whopping 40 vents that keep your cool when the racing heats up. The Diamond also features a washable Airdry padding system to keep it from getting too funky in the in the middle of summer.

The Louis Garneau Diamond Helmet comes in White and is available in sizes Small, Medium, and Large. It includes six different colored decal sheets that allow you to customize your helmet to match your team's kit.
