Louis Garneau Diamond Helmet $0.00
Cool and light.
The Garneau Diamond Helmet is their top-of-the-line model. It's one of their lightest helmets, with structural elements that make it both beautiful and tough. One important detail that we like about the Diamond is its MSB (Monocoque Structural Base). This means that the in-molded micro-shell wraps around the bottom of the helmet and into the interior. The second major structural component is Garneau's "Composite Reinforcement." The bridges of silver carbon that you see exposed continue underneath the plastic shell and are all connected. This web of composite material, similar to what's used in motorcycle helmets, will give you superior impact protection and the helmet will resist coming apart if you crash. This works in conjunction with their Exo-Insert, two thin strips of plastic shell that are molded into the interior. It's one of the most impressive efforts by a helmet manufacturer to offer substantial armament in a stylish and still lightweight package.
In addition to offering supreme protection for your head, the Garneau Diamond has their Spiderlock Elite retention system. It hangs separately from the webbing straps and is free to move up or down before you dial it in for a perfect fit. To tighten it, simply use one hand to turn the adjustment wheel and it takes up any extra space. Fitting the web straps is easy because Garneau uses a camlocking slider on each side. There won't be any excuse for loose straps at the temple.
Garneau went with a more is more approach to make sure the Diamond has unmatched ventilation. It has a whopping 40 vents to ensure you keep your cool when the racing heats up, and their Airdry padding system is washable to keep it from getting too funky in the in the middle of summer.
The Garneau Diamond Helmet comes in White and is available in three sizes -- Small, Medium, and Large. It includes decal sheets in six different colors that allow you to customize it to match your team's kit.
- Super MSB technology uses a ring-shaped plastic cover at the base of the helmet to spread impact shock
- In-mold construction bonds miroplastic and polystyrene together to provide reinforcement
- Spiderlock Elite detachable adjustment system for quick adjustment using one hand

well fitting helmet
just got it today, and while I haven't ridden with it yet, it's the best fitting helmet I've owned, and I usually buy helmets in the $150-$200 range. Fits narrower from temple to temple than Giro helmets which is much better for me, nice and deep too. Really light, and it's full of holes so I'm sure it will be comfortable on the road. Still wearing my winter helmet in MN, will be putting this helmet into service very soon hopefully!
A great helmet for the sale price...
Bought this helmet a couple of months ago when it was down to 130 bucks and for that price it was a good deal. I am a big fan of LG products, I think the quality is great and the helmet with carbon is no different. I bought the Black/white which seemed like a good idea at the time until I saw how badly discolored the white strap gets. I am sure you could scrub away and the strap would be white again, but I won't buy this color strap again(just gets too dirty looking).
I did take this back and went with the Giro Aeon, which is a heck of a lot lighter, could tell that right off the bat. Plus the price was just about the same, on sale of course. I think the strap feel is nicer on the Diamonback than on the Aeon but I like the clicking on the Giro Aeon slightly better. The spider lock is a very smooth system by LG so kudos to them, just would rather hear a secure click. Didn't have any problems with the spider lock system coming loose on a ride, so again I think it is well done by LG.
This helmet is very high quality and has decent looks. Functionally, it can save your brain bucket from a beating which is very important. The pads are comfortable and the chin strap is decent although depending on fit, you may have some excess strap. Ventilation works very well and is primarily provided by a large front vent at the the center of the helmet. It's lightweight and is very adjustable.
A word on fit - if you are at the top of the size range - go to the larger helmet.
A word on insects - if you have bees, cicadas or other large insects, wear a headsweat or grab a helmet with mesh. This one has no mesh.
A word on fit - I don't have a round head and this helmet fits very well!
LG Sizing Different than Giro/Bell
Good looking, comfortable helmet with good venting and weight. I am between a Small and a Medium on Giro and Bell helmets, which both have same sizing measurements. LG sizing is slightly bigger than the others and the extra space on a Small fits me perfectly. The Diamond felt more substantial and easier to adjust than the X Lite
Light, comfortable, good fit
This is a great helmet if you find yourself riding for hours on end. The lightweight construction and adjustability allows you to forget about it on your head. The helmet sits up out of the way of your ears and If set up correctly I don't have any interference from the temples on my sunglasses. Easy ratcheting system in the back allows you to adjust helmet tightness on the fly. Comes with a cool decal kit to match up your helmet with your kit. This is top of the line head protection. I wear my everyday and love its fit.

Fits very well for me. It does not bother me at all during riding. Never crashed on my head het but I guess it protects well, too!

Louis Garneau Diamond Helmet
Words with me while staying at Louis' house in Quebec!
This guy is on par with the best from the bigger helmet companies like Bell and Giro. Great helmet, looks great too!
This helmet has by far the best fit out of any helmet I've used. Very adjustable to customize the fit perfectly.

Light Strong Helmet
This helmet is a really light helmet that feels great when you were it with the one hand adjustment. Also has great protection with the carbon shell and titanium band.
Best Helmet for the price. The vents work well, the pads do not hold to much sweat and the adjustment is easy. I am constantly adjusting my helmet just for my preferred feel and it is easy to do with the large adjustment knob.
Wearing one for two year.
Saved my life.
Not 5 Stars because it is not the lightest or most breathable. it still works great
Nice, lots of compliments
I was torn between this helmet and the Giro Atmos after weeks of researching them both. I ended up going with this helmet simply because everyone has a Giro helmet and I wanted to be different. I have no regrets because this helmet is light and comfortable. The ventilation is amazing and the adjustment knob is awesome. With a quick turn I can loosen or tighten my helmet while it's on. It also looks great.
Realcyclist Team Helmet
Tons of ventilation. Very comfortable and looks great. Best of all with this helmet, is you don't have to empty the wallet for it like many other top of the line helmets out there. My favorite part of the helmet is the adjustment knob. It's super easy to use and adjusts evenly to both sides of the head. Unlike the giro that makes you have to remove it from your head to see if both sides are evenly notched.
