There's no reason to overheat.

Oppressive heat is enough to keep the best of us indoors. Under an unrelenting sun, dehydration is accelerated at an alarming pace, and without the proper equipment, you'll be left bonked on the side of the road. This is where the Louis Garneau Course Women's Sleeveless Jersey comes in.

Louis Garneau designed the Course sleeveless jersey to be the ultimate in lightweight and breathable comfort. However, to achieve this lofty ambition, Garneau was forced to create a complex design that remains simple on the eyes. Easier said than done. So, multiple fabrics were used in its construction, along with a sophisticated material treatment. Starting at the body of the jersey, Garneau knew that the bulk of construction had to be lightweight, malleable, and breathable. This means that Mondo was the obvious choice for its composition. Made from a featherweight, multi-filament polyester, Mondo's knit is porous for both breathability and for a high level of stretch that aids in comfort and aerodynamics.

At the chest, shoulder blades, and side panels Garneau went to great lengths to account for the most cumbersome variable of comfort -- heat control. Sure, the aforementioned fabric is breathable, but Garneau still added its ultra-soft, MicroSens Mesh material for even more breathability. For one, MicroSens enhances the jersey's next-to-skin fit and comfort with its stretchable, microfiber composition. Additionally, it's been given a proprietary treatment in order to wick moisture away more rapidly. And lastly, its open mesh design keeps you dry while thoroughly ventilating your core. Going a step beyond, Garneau also treated the body of the jersey with the Coldblack finish. This finish permits the sun's heat to be reflected away from the jersey instead of absorbing it like most fabrics. So, you can ride on the rivet during summer races without running the risk of overheating.

To secure the fit of the Course Superleggera jersey, Garneau has taken a multi-step approach. At the rear hem, Garneau placed a wide signature silicone gripper that prevents shift without adding any uncomfortable compression. The jersey also features a full-length front zipper with a zip garage at the collar to reduce abrasion. As for the overall cut, Garneau constructed the jersey on a curve in order to properly greet the natural contours of the female body.

Garneau has also included three rear angled pockets for easy-access storage, a secured multimedia pocket with internal cable routing channels, and reflective accents to increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.

The Louis Garneau Course Women's Sleeveless Jersey is available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/white/red and White.

The 'Almost Naked' Truth!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

All I can say is 'WOW'...Not at all what I expected!!! Unless you are in perfect, prime, tip-top shape, forget it! Not only that, while the top pictured on-line is absolutely sharp, what it doesn't really show is that it is also absolutely SHEAR on the sides, and even the front side of your bosoms show (mine did anyway!),...I mean a WIDE strip of shear material (all the white material you see is totally transparent, not opaque, and so as it stretches when put on of course that's more 'you' and your bra that shows, especially if you have a curvy figure), or rather, lack of material. Just too extreme for me. I'm quite sure it's like wearing nothing, cause there's nothing too it. You see everything, you'll be a big hit with the guys! So very disappointed. Also runs very small, smaller than most others (and F.Y.I.: found out by trial & error, go by the size chart on; just not enough room for the 'girls', and just not for me. Going back to Giordana!

Responded on

Any cycling clothing on the higher end of the spectrum (ie. expensive, performance-oriented) will run smaller, or what's called a "race fit". If you've got "girls", or anything else that you don't want to draw attention to in a, let's say, "flamboyant" way, you'll want to order a size or two up. Or, you might want to consider clothing that is a "club fit" or "casual/fitness fit". Most manufacturers, like Louis Garneau, offer both kinds. LG's quality is almost next to none, so I wouldn't give up on them completely!

Responded on

The sheerness of this garment is just not for me; and yes, just too small (up top) for me to fit in. I've no problems with the Giordana line, though. To each his/her own...
