Description

Comfort in motion.

We get a lot of folks inquiring as to the benefits associated with expensive bib shorts, and it's easy to see why. You see, we tend to believe in the theory that you get what you pay for, but at the same time, it can be hard to justify spending the better part of a grand on a few strips of fabric, no matter how artfully they're sewn together. Thankfully, there are the Louis Garneau Corsa 2.0 Bib Shorts, which give you creme de la creme comfort, at a price that's somewhat more palatable than competitive pro-level bibs. And with an 8-panel cut and Garneau's 4Motion chamois, we think you'll agree that these are one of the best values in top-tier cycling shorts.

At the heart of the Corsa Bibs is Louis Garneau’s 4Motion chamois. Its woven polyester construction offers a high degree of stretch -- in four directions as they note -- which ultimately helps the pad mold to your contours and move with you, increasing your comfort. Mesh vents and channel vents help to move moisture away from your body to keep your skin dry and chafe-free. Multi-thickness, high density foam places more padding where you need it most and reduces it in the areas where it isn’t as necessary. All this work makes the chamois fit naturally, as if it's not even there. However, the comfort level after a few hours in the saddle tells you otherwise.

The Corsa bib shorts provide the greatest degree of compressive support within Louis Garneau’s shorts collections. Lycra Power is used in many locations through the eight-panel design. Panels made from Speed Tech improve wicking due to the lightweight weave, yet  they offer incredible sun protection, with an SPF of 50. Carbon-X Mesh and Lazer Rev aid in providing a compressive hold and fabric resilience, which results in the bibs providing excellent support. Truly, these bibs are so light in feel that the support they offer is surprising.

The bibs feature a rear pocket for riders who wish to ride with an MP3 player, so you don’t have to devote a jersey pocket to your electronics. Rather than gripper elastic at the leg cuffs, the shorts are finished with compressive bands that give them a longish 11.25" inseam. All seams are flatlocked to give the inside of the shorts the smoothest possible feel against the skin.

The Louis Garneau Corsa 2.0 Bib Shorts are available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large, and in the colors Black/black, Black/yellow, Black/red, and Black/white.

Really Good Bibs

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

5'11", 158lbs, 33" inseam. The MED fit me great. I'm enjoying the bib shorts without a gripper leg. I figure, the grippers are not necessary, and will hold a short up as well as down. These don't have that feature. I give them 4 stars, b/c I'm always looking for the perfect bib shorts, and maybe these are not them, but they are really good, I believe.

Mondo bibs fit better

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got a pair of the mondo bibs that I absolutely love and I figured these would be the same fit, it does have the same chamois but these are tighter in the crotch if that was possible. I normally wear small in Assos, but as others have said these run SMALL. They are just a tad too constrictive, the problem is the material is the best I have worn and it's hard to find anything by LG. Hopefully they will stretch out.

Great Bib for the Money!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

These are a fantastic bib for the money, they have a high compression fit with durable materials. The chamois is very good, as well as the cut is very impressive. That being said, these run truer to Euro sizing, so order a size up compared to Pearl Izumi ect...

Best bang for your ducats

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Undoubtedly the best bib for under $150. I normally wear mid range Castelli and the LG's are in my opinion more comfortable. I'm 5'9 185lbs, and the Large fit perfectly. I ride in Vegas and need a bib with exceptional breathability. This bib performs very well on those extremely hot mornings. Excellent chamois. Straps not to constricting. Overall great product at a nice price point.

Size Chart Seems to be Off

When selecting these bibs make sure you go up one size from your waist size. I have a 32" waist and selected a small. I had to return and exchange for a medium. They now fit perfectly.

Great bibs for the money

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had an earlier version of these bibs and loved them. I like the leg bands (no annoying silicone grippers), the compression and especially the chamois. They're also cut for my build - 5-11/155. I would mark them down only because the side panels began to wear thin, although only after many thousands of miles. For what it's worth I've also worn LG elite bibs, which are almost as comfortable but seem to last a little longer.

What size do you wear? I'm the exact same measurements.

Great bib

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used these bibs for 3-4 hour rides. The compression, breathability, and chamois are excellent. I typically buy bibs in the $150-200 range, and these have been of great value. The most important aspect to me is the chamois, and the 4D is excellent, better than other endurance chamois (ie Progetto X2)

Louis Garneau Corsa 2.0 bib shorts.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I first got a pair of these bibs when the RealCyclist.com pro team kits used the LG brand. These bibs quickly became my favorite bibs and still are to this day. Size was dead on for my 6'3" low 150lbs frame. Size medium. Most size mediums I have been too short and end up getting to lose over time. These bibs have remained tight and keep everything where it needs to be. Since my first R.C. LG kit I have purchased a few more and will continue to in the future. Great chamios, tight compression, long length for us tall guy's that don't want shorts too shirt. Suspendors are wide enough and don't dig in to my shoulders. I've havn't had this good of luck with any other brand that I have tried.

Not worth it

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm a big fan of LG shorts having several of these bib shorts, but these are simply not good enough.
I've ordered them but had major issues with the straps and how it feels on your legs. The bottom part of the leg keeps rolling up and does not feel snug to the skin.
Also, they feel too thin and fragile, so after one ride they went back
