Description

You could spend more on a heavier pedal, but why?

If you've never tried clipless pedals before, the Keo Classic is an ideal way to take the plunge. It offers the same ease of entry and exit as the rest of the Look Keo family of pedals, but it does so at Look's lowest spring tension. The spring mechanism holds in your cleat with only 8-12 Nm of force, meaning that as you learn the fundamentals of clipping in and out, the Classic will engage and disengage your cleat with ease. And just like the rest of the Keo pedals, you'll have an ample platform and a low stack height to keep your feet comfortable on long rides. The Classic comes with Grey Keo Grip cleats that allow 4.5 degrees of float.

Works just fine!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These may be an entry level pedal, but it has served me very well. Easy entry or release. Rugged construction. A great pedal from LOOK.

Great Value

Look makes great pedals and these are perfect for a first set of pedals. They do what they should do.

Great Starter Pedal

This was my first set of pedals. Great Value for a intro pedal.

For the price, these pedals work phenomenally. If you're trying out clip-less for the first time, go with these. I'm very performance oriented with my equipment, yet these things have not failed me yet.

I highly recommend these pedals by the company that created them!

Wear quickly

These pedals work well and are easy to use. Unfortunately they wear out quickly because of the float interface with the cleat, which also wears quickly. This can be remedied to some extent by using fixed cleats, but a lot of wear occur simply from clipping in/out. It seems that look has addressed this issue with the Keo Max pedals, providing a metal plate to reduce wear. Those may be a better option for longevity.

Entry level bliss

Buy these as your first road pedal and never go back. Although they are quite a bit heavier than the Keo 2 max carbon pedals they more than make up the difference in durability and power transfer. In addition, if you have a multipurpose road bike.....ie not racing in a full kit everyday, these pedals provide a great platform when wearing street shoes.
You can easily adjust your clip retention, and they are very comfortable. The only drawback to me has been the bulky cleats when compared to the options offered by speedplay.
