Taz 1000 Light

Riding at night is a blast, but it's way better when you're able to actually see where you're going. Not surprisingly, with the Light and Motion Taz 1000 Light, that's not an issue. Aside from putting out a whopping 1000 lumens to show you the way, it's waterproof for reliability, and it's compact for ease-of-use. As the name implies, the Taz 1000 cranks out 1000 lumens of crisp, bright light. That's as much as many car headlights, so visibility won't be an issue. In fact, it's so bright that there's three lower output settings, which accordingly increase the battery life. For example, while the full 1000 lumens may be exactly what you need for riding off-road, there are plenty of situations where the lower output settings will provide all of the visibility that you need. At 1000 lumens, the Tax provides an hour-and-forty minutes of run time off of a full-charge. Meanwhile, the medium setting puts out 500 lumens for three hours, and the low setting yields 200 lumens for six hours. You'll want to be seen by drivers, and to those ends, the Taz puts out light to the sides, as well as the direction of the beam. As a result, your visibility to motorists is increased dramatically. However, if you're commuting, being seen around dusk and dawn is necessary, even if illuminating your way isn't. And for those dusk and dawn rides, you're able to use a 200 lumen pulse setting to keep the light blinking for nine hours.

The Taz gets its power from an integrated lithium-ion battery. In combination with its aluminum body, the result is a light system that weighs in around a feathery 214 grams. Better yet, it's waterproof to one meter, so you won't have to worry about rain, even when monsoon season rolls around. You might imagine that lighting this powerful puts off some serious heat, and you'd be right. That's why L&M engineered aluminum cooling fins to control the heat and to maximize the life of the bulbs. Additionally, the tool-free mounting system makes attaching and removing your light a snap.
