Small ain't no thing to the engineering geniuses at Lezyne. Not only were they able to jam some serious brightness into the compact Lezyne Femto Light Pair, they kept the lights' stylish appearance up to the company's usual standards, too.

The Femtos' durable CNC-machined aluminum bodies are weather-resistant, dissipate heat to protect the battery, and won't rust no matter how long you leave them outside. The lights' lens double as their on/off button for a super-clean, button-free look. You can use the lens to cycle through four flash modes and one steady mode, as well. The Composite Matrix back plate can be unscrewed to replace the two CR2032 batteries, and the multi-position silicon-rubber strap can be moved to angle the headlight up or down. The Femto front light provides 15 lumens of light, while the rear cranks out 7, to make you more visible in traffic. Both the front and rear lights can last up to 60 hours on one pair of batteries.

The Lezyne Femto Drive Light Pair comes in the color schemes Black/red, Polish/hi-gloss, and Black/hi-gloss, and each light in the pair ways approximately 22 grams.

Urban lighting

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got these lights to make myself seen at night while riding around on my bike. I live in Salt Lake City and these are perfect for my bike commutes. The headlight isn't really designed for lighting up the road in front of you which is why I would recommend using it in the flashing mode just to make yourself seen. If you live in a city like me that has plenty of street lights, then these lights are perfect for making you seen by everyone else on the road. The lights are very small and mount perfectly on to my handle bars and seat post. Pictures to follow later.

The light attached easily to my bike and feels like it is not going to fall off. It doesn't give off enough light to light the way in the dark, but I gives off plenty of light to stay safe in low light. They have given me that little extra piece of mind while on my evening rig. I recommend picking them up.

I'll admittedly say that it took me quit a few tries to get these things turned on after I pulled them from the packaging. There is a shield that needs to be removed from the battery chamber and then the batteries need to be placed back in the proper direction.

What really had me scratching my head was how you turn them on. You have to press and hold the light down until it turns on. I was thinking one click would do the trick, but you need to hold it. Once the light is on, one click will cycle through the light blink settings. While this was hard to figure out at first, it is really slick having these minimal controls to toggle through settings.

The moral is you should read the instructions...

I removed the paper shields but cannot get lights to work. nor will the two parts align to screw tightly

Make sure you are not trying to close the lights with the rubber strap in between the light and back piece. Remove the rubber strap completely because that is supposed to wrap around the bar.
