Lezyne Danny MacAskill Travel Floor Drive Pump $99.95
If you're uninitiated as to who Danny MacAskill is, let's just say that he's arguably the greatest trials rider of our time, if not ever. And if you're familiar with the trials discipline, you know that it takes you to the road less traveled, as well as mandating enough abusive trial-and-error that you're always left fixing a flat on-the-fly. For this reason, the Lezyne Danny MacAskill Travel Floor Drive Pump was designed with equal parts durability, functionality, and because this is Lezyne after all, beauty.
Any travel pump, especially one designed for Danny MacAskill, needs to be durable and lightweight. And for this reason, Lezyne constructed the base, handle, and piston of the Travel Floor Drive from CNC-machined aluminum. As a result, Lezyne was able to mate its signature beautiful lines with lightweight durability. In fact, the pump, with hose, comes in at just around 985 grams.
In terms of functionality, Lezyne gave the pump a lay-flat design that makes it easy to travel with. And to protect it from getting scuffed and scratched on the road, Lezyne also included a felt-lined canvas travel bag. The hose itself features Lezyne's patented ABS airbleed system. Basically, this system releases air pressure from the pump hose, which makes it easier to remove the included Flip Thread chuck. Speaking of which, this chuck is compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves. However, given MacAskill's mountain specialty, Lezyne also included its patented Slip Chuck. This chuck was specifically designed for use with disc wheels, and it features a 90 degree bend that slips on fast for press-on Presta engagement.
Lastly, the gauge was made small for travel purposes, yet its 1.5-inch size is still amply large enough to read. And while you're reading, check out Danny MacAskill's signature that been CNC-machined onto the pump handle and printed on the travel bag. This pump also has a max PSI of 160, and it measures out to a 508 x 190 x 60mm size.
The Lezyne Danny MacAskill Travel Floor Drive Pump is available in the color Black and in one size.

Doesn't do backflips...
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This pump did not help me develop my backflip skills, but it sturdy, reliable and packs a lot of punch for a smaller floor pump. It is perfect for the trunk of my car and is ideal for making sure my air pressure is up to snuff at the trailhead or before my road ride. A huge bonus, it moves a lot of air quickly. It will air up a road tire in no time flat.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This pump rocks it is very well made, it has a chuck that you can flip to use presta or schrader. It is also small enough to keep in your car without getting in the way.
