Simple, easy, straightforward; classic. Lezyne's Classic Dirt Floor Drive Pump takes the features of the other high-volume pumps and pairs them up with an economical wood handle, and steel barrel and piston.

Lezyne high-volume (aka mountain) pumps are different from their high-pressure (aka road) brethren. Larger diameter barrels for more volume, larger connections to move the air, larger diameter hoses to put that air into the tire faster, and pressure gauges that read lower pressure more precisely. This moves double the air per stroke and makes it easier to seat tubeless tire beads. The Dirt Floor Drive Pumps have a barrel with a 37mm interior diameter to get more volume in fewer strikes and a 2.5in pressure gauge that reads up to 70psi.

Otherwise, the pumps in this lineup are the same. The rubber hose is 43 inches (130cm) long. At the end of the hose is a flip-thread chuck, a reversible head for both Schrader and Presta valves. It has a button for bleeding air, which is called the ABS (Air Bleed System). The pump comes with a Speed Chuck, a thread-on slip-fit Presta head with a 90-degree angle to easier set the chuck.

The Lezyne Classic Dirt Floor Dive Pump measures 7.9 x 9.8 x 26.2in (20 x 26 x 66.5 cm). The handle is 9.5in. The interior diameter of the barrel is 37mm, which means the pump has been optimized for high volume applications. It has a claimed weight of 3.6lbs (1.6kg). The color is Gloss Black.

  • Barrel, piston, hose, and connectors are oversized to deliver double the air flow per stroke to quickly fill tires and seat tire beads on tubeless tire systems
  • ABS flip-thread chuck allows quick and simple air pressure adjustment
  • Oversized gauge is precise and easy to read

Does the trick!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pump is far better than the floor pump I've been using.
* Its nice to have an easy to view gauge that has accurate 1 PSI increments. I've read reviews saying that the gauge doesn't start at a low enough PSI for fat bike tires, but I don't have a fat bike so this is a non-issue for me.
* Its high volume inflates my 2.4 mtn bike tires quickly & easily.
* I haven't tried seating a new tubeless tire yet, but anticipate the process being much easier than with my previous pump.
* It comes with the Lezyne Speed Chuck which doesn't always mate well with my presta valves to form a tight seal when pumping. If you hold it in place it seems to be fine though. I'll likely purchase the Lezyne ABS2 Chuck HV to replace the Speed Chuck. I've never used the ABS2 Chuck HV, but I'd hope that it would create a nice, hands free seal.
* MSRP is $75. I bought it at $63 and consider it excellent value. As I write this review has it on sales at $45. If you're in the market for a new MTN Bike specific floor pump pull the trigger!

The Only MTB Pump you will need

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Right off the bat I'll admit this is a pricey pump. BUT if you are serious about your bikes, this is 100% worth it.

The build quality is great, it's almost a piece of art. Everything is super smooth and clean and sleek. The pump feels great to use.

There are two chucks that are included. A reversible threaded Presta/Schraeder that is easy to connect, as well as a Presta SpeedChuck that simply slides over the Presta valve.

Most importantly, the pump delivers lots of air fast and makes seating tubeless tires EASY.

The integrated gauge is precise and easy to read.

Can't really ask for more in a floor pump. I expect this one to last a while.

can someone confirm that air can be adjusted/bled if using presta valves? I've read somewhere that it can only be done with shraeder.

I have the road version of this pump. I believe they have the same pump head or very similar. That being said, I can't bleed the air to adjust the pressure with presta valves. The button on the pump head allows you to release the air in the hose but not the tire itself. It's not like you can pump up to 100psi and bleed it down to 85psi. For CX I use a separate pressure gauge that has a bleed valve. Hope that helps

Easy Enough for a Twelve year old.

My son loves me a little bit more, now that I have purchased this pump. We have struggled with lousy pumps his whole life.

He pumped up all four of our bikes, with a mix of Presta and Schrader valves, with zero issues. He could pump one mountain bike tire from 0-50 PSI in 22 pumps. Then he pumped up all ten of our balls. He used both the screw on valve and the quick valve. He preferred the screw on valve.

Also, it's the one "toy" of his that is so handsome, I don't mind it being around the living room.

If I can help you with anything at Backcountry, let me know.

Works (and looks) great!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I snagged this fancy floor pump to throw in my truck and top off tires before I ride, based on excellent reviews on other Lezyne models. It did not disappoint!

This is a "high volume" version, optimized for MTB tires. They aren't joking that it puts out a lot of air in a hurry... I was able to install Stan's tubeless system on my wheels with this pump rather than an air compressor.

Unlike the other reviewer, I've had no problems removing the valve core, but then again I always remember to use the bleed button before unscrewing the chuck. But there's really no need to use the threaded chuck if you've got a Presta valve since the speed chuck works fine and saves the hassle of screwing the chuck on... just press it on, pump up, bleed the hose, pop it off. I think the other reviewer must be missing an O-ring for his speed chuck if it falls off, or have an odd sized valve.

Bottom line is this pump feels well built, looks great, and puts out a lot of air in a hurry.

Great Pump Except for Chuck

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I know, I know: it's kind of like saying the restaurant was wonderful except for the food. This pump does move a lot of air quickly and the gauge is very easy to read. However, I hat the chuck options. If you use the threaded chuck on a presta valve with a removable core, you risk removing the core while unscrewing the chuck (I've done this several times). If you use the speed chuck, you have to hold the chuck onto the valve while pumping. This gets the job done and I'm not going to rush out and by a different pump. The construction and quality are very good, but the design of these Lezyne pumps makes me think I won't get another one.
