Levi's Commuter 504 Pants - Men's $87.95
Make room for your new favorite jeans.
Whether you're headed to the coffee shop, or to work, you want to look like an ordinary human, despite the fact that you rode a bike to get there. If that sounds familiar, and you're not into super-skinny jeans, the Levi's Commuter 504 will keep you pedaling in comfort, and style. Based off the classic straight leg 504, it adds technical fabric treatment, a gusseted crotch, and increased coverage, among other standout features. But the best part is that despite the tech, they look, fit, and wear just like jeans, not pro team warmup gear. This means that your old favorite jeans should be getting nervous right about now.
These aren't some run-of-the-mill, one-off attempt at appeasing a subculture. Instead, Levi's worked closely with cyclists in multiple cities around America, distributing prototypes and accepting feedback. And, as a result of developing the pants in accordance to critique, Levi's effectively dialed-in the fit, accoutrements, and finishes to what cyclists are actually asking for.
Accordingly, Levi's adapted its regular fit 504 to satisfy the needs of cyclists, and that starts with sensible fabrics. Denim isn't known for its outstanding technical properties, but with the addition of a water-resistant and dirt-repellent NanoSphere protective finish, sweat will evaporate faster than you're used to, and they'll shrug off most precip to boot. It's for this very reason that Levi's also incorporated an odor-resistant Sanitized finish to the pants, too. Levi's also made these pants perfect for trips where your bag is staying at home by installing a U-lock holster along the rear of the waistband. This way, you're not ramming your lock down your pants or wearing out your belt.
Logging hours in the saddle will quickly thrash the vast majority of jeans, which is why Levi's added a double-layered seat panel and beefed it up with a gusset that resists tearing and saddle abrasion. In terms of fit, the 504 ranks as a regular fit, so they're baggier than the slimmer fitting 510 or 511. They sit slightly below the waist and feature a straight leg. However, for the sake of coverage while in the saddle, these 504s have been cut higher in the rear than a standard pair.
For the pockets, these pants have been given two hand, two rear, and one coin pocket. And to increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions, Levi's incorporated reflective 3M Scotchlite tape on the interior of the pants' cuffs.
The Levi's Commuter 504 Pants - Men's are available in the color Ivy Green and in waist sizes from 29 to 34, plus 36 and 38, with either a 30 or 32-inch inseam.

What community has to say
These pants fit really well. The 504 is one of my favorite cuts from Levis. Not too slim, not too baggy. Slightly higher through the waist.
These are very stretchy and very comfortable.
