Why We Like The MX146-X Wide Cycling Shoe

When we are going to be in the saddle for an entire day but still demand performance, we opt for the Lake MX146-X Wide Cycling Shoe. This all-day comfort is provided by a wider toe box, meanwhile the water-resistant softshell upper is bolstered by a waterproof membrane to keep our feet dry, further adding to comfort on long days.

way too small

I wear a 41 in normal shoes. I wear a 42 in winter stuff and cycling shoes in order to fit socks. the shoes in the photo are both lake size 42 wides. as you can plainly see the winter boot is much shorter and much narrower. Calling it a 42 is completely outside the realm of reality.

I normally wear a 43.5, but I sized up all the way to a 46 to be able to wear thick socks. I got these for fall and winter riding in New England. These are so much better than using shoe covers. With thick socks, my feet stay warm even in freezing temps. These are a godsend for wide feet. I thought I'd never find shoes that fit until trying these Lake boots. I cinch down the Boa closures and don't get any heel slippage, even though the length is a little long because I sized up for width. Lake has a super detailed size chart on their website that you can use to see the exact width of the last in mm, which is super helpful for comparison.
