White road shoes have long been the standard in the peloton. They imply professionalism and give off a clean and, dare we say it, fast look. Lake's new CX200 road shoes embody this standard, and house many race-worthy features in their sleek white-on-white design.
Lake constructs the majority of the CX200 Shoes with its Action Leather upper. This material combines split leather with a polyurethane surface treatment. With this blend, you receive the comfort and breathability you expect from leather shoes and the added benefit of a long-lasting, treated surface. The polyurethane surface coating increases water-resistance and durability, while also reducing shoe stretch. Mesh panels surround the opening and tongue, further enhancing moisture transfer and breathability. This means that your feet stay cool and ventilated, even on hot days.
Two standard hook-and-loop lower straps control volume, and a ratcheting-buckle top strap provides plenty of retention. Together, the three straps evenly distribute pressure and securely hold your foot in place. Lake's Competition fiberglass-injected nylon outsole provides you with a stiff, durable pedaling platform, complete with rubber heel and toe pads for a bit of traction when you hop off of your bike. Perforated removable insoles let you swap in your custom orthotics, and reflective Lake logos complete the package.
The Lake CX200 Shoes are available in the color White and in whole sizes from 39 to 50. Please note: the outsole is only compatible with three-hole cleat systems.
