Blinder Arc 5.5 Headlight

Finding ways to be seen in low-light and nighttime conditions without mounting something the size of a car headlight to the front of our bikes poses something of a conundrum for many cyclists. We need lots of light, but in a small, lightweight package. The Knog Blinder Arc 5.5 Headlight delivers on all these fronts. With a whopping 550 lumens of light, it can be seen from distances of over 1000 meters and fits primly on handlebars ranging from 22mm in diameter to 35mm in diameter.

The body of the Arc 5.5 is made from UV-resistant industrial grade silicone and polycarbonate housing, providing a durable and waterproof casing that will shepherd it through all the miles and weather you can throw at it. The massive lighting functionality is delivered by a Cree XM-L2 LED with an elliptical beam of 16 degrees vertical and 24 degrees horizontal with Constant Current Drive to ensure bright, consistent illumination when you need it.

The ARC 5.5 is powered by a rechargeable Lithium battery with beefy claimed run times ranging from 1.8 hours in the steady, high beam setting all the way up to 17 hours as a flashing beam. With additional options of medium and low beam between those two bookends, you can customize the output to meet your riding needs on the fly with just a click of a button.

While the light is obviously the main star, the little details make using this light even easier. Knog includes a tactile button with a slightly longer hold time to prevent any accidental bumps from turning on the light and wasting battery time. Stash the Arc 5.5 in your bag or a jacket pocket and don't worry about not having light for the ride home. If it does happen to get low on battery after a few scenic routes, a red low-battery indicator will pop on to let you know it needs charging.
