Kitsbow turned to its customers when the company began working on a redesign for its popular A/M shorts, and it listened when customers responded that they wanted more versatility. The all-new Adjustable Waist Shorts are the result of customer feedback and a brand obsessed with improving its best offerings. The shorts combine the premium materials the Vancouver-based brand is known for with improved features for kit that will be at home on any ride.
The shorts are made out of a Schoeller nylon blend, with the feel of a softshell and the water resistance you'd expect from that venerable name. As an added bonus, Kitsbow included Schoeller Coldblack technology, which helps reflect the sun's rays when you're out of tree cover to keep the shorts' temperature down. The silhouette is clean and sleek — Kitsbow purposely eliminated any baggy fabric or oversized pockets that could slow you down or catch branches — and the back leg hems are shaped specifically to move with you while pedaling.
The focus on versatility manifests as an adjustable waist, which Kitsbow is incorporating here for the first time. It offers a total of two inches of adjustability using seamless hideaway garages on each side of the waistband to allow for a customized fit. Two additional zippered pockets were added to the front of the shorts to make them amenable to life off the bike, and two back pockets — one with a zipper for security — make sure you'll still be able to carry a few essentials with you onto the trails.
