Having tire spray that looks like a silhouette of the Hawaiian Islands across your back isn't the best way to go about a ride. And trying to get a St. Bernard to run along with a Brandy Barrel for liquid encouragement is also not exactly the best way to go about things. Luckily the metal smiths at King Cage have ingenuously combined the usefulness of a mud flap with the storage capacity of a flask -- enter the Mud Flask and Cage.

The Mud Flask mounts to saddle rails and provides coverage from tire spray, while ensuring that you're the coolest guy or gal on two wheels. If you're unfamiliar with King Cage, it's a Colorado-based manufacturer of cycling accessories. It only uses US sourced materials, and each stainless steel cage is handmade in the USA. Even better, King Cage has a rich history within the the mountain bike community dating back to the titanium heyday of the early nineties.

If names like Fat City Cycles, Ibis Cycles, Merlin Metalworks, Jo Breeze Cycles, Ted Wojac cycles, and Yeti Cycles bring back fond memories of Oakley Blades, fanny packs, and RS1's then King Cage's Mud Flask will provide hours of trail-side conversation.

The King Cage Mud Flask and Cage includes one stainless steel King Cage and a flask.

Neat product, amusing but not overly functional. Had mine rattle out of the cage, and also found the brazeing on the bottom was porous, fortunately I have the means to fix this. 4 stars simply because I find it ammusing.
