Hold ‘er steady.

Put the Kinetic Riser Ring under your front wheel and watch the pros ride last year’s tour while you sit and spin for a few hours. The Riser Ring accommodates tires up to 2.25 inches wide and features four heights in half-inch increments to level out your bike. If you really want to enhance the simulation, stack some phone books underneath and pretend you’re climbing Ventoux.

This item does its function well and is durable after the 2 years since I have purchased it.

Marginally better than a 2x4

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's primary advantage is the security of the groves. Bike stays in place. But a couple of pieces of wood work to set the right height too. I bought it, now i have to find a space to store it when not in use. Probably sits between the legs of the Kinetic. Still a lot of money for a piece of plastic that is only marginally better than a DIY solution.

Bye Bye Phone Book

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For years I was took cheap to buy a riser block. I used phone books, blocks of wood, weight scales, sandles stacked inside each other... Anything I could find to save the $40 bucks. All that effort to save the $40, and experience a sub-par indoor riding experience was not worth it -- this thing changed my indoor riding life.

The ring works well for my road, mountain, and gravel bikes because of the different groove heights in the riser ring.

Great Riser

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Solid, not as bulky as other risers and has a few different height settings which is nice. I would suggest using a floor mat underneath it for added stability and protecting whatever surface is beneath it.

Does what it is supposed to do

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a must have if you are using an indoor trainer. I like that it has plenty of different settings to adjust the front wheel height. I have a mat that I place my trainer and riser block on - so it does not move while I ride. I rotate the block after every ride so I'm not always riding at the same setting.

It's a riser man.

I like the Kinetic riser because it has four height setting. It leaves a nice ring on the carper so you know exactly where to put it before your ride.
