Item # KAP000O

Fish-eye vanity.

For the vainduro cyclist, Kali Protectives has integrated a peripheral mount on the Maya Enduro Helmet's crest, so you can provide mood lighting for your adventures or record them for the après. You can revisit all your gnar points with fish-eye video of trees flashing by at speed.

The helmet's protective measures include multi-density and low-density EPS foam arrayed internally in interlocking conical peaks in order to establish a crumpling buffer zone, keeping everything zen even when the trail (or trees or rocks) rises to meet you, and the extended back covers all angles of attack.

The integrated mount shares the helmet's shell with a visor, which is designed to bridge the aesthetic line between moto and mountain bike, but it's also accommodatingly flexible, taking a page from the bendy reed's playbook instead of the bitter, brittle oak. When the envelope pushes back, the visor itself doesn't take the fall.

The helmet's liner is both antimicrobial and bug-proof, which happens to correspond to our office's No Bees, Please policy. Five intake and seven exhaust vents let in plenty of cooling air, though, and the internal channeling routes it along to keep you comfortable on hot days in the saddle.

  • In-mold construction
  • Crumpling buffer zone
  • 22 large vents
  • Airflow system
  • Peripheral mount
  • Antimicrobial liner

Because You Rip The Trails In Style

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is the equivalent of Al Capone's fedora! If you are trying to look like a boss on the - trail buy it! Overall, this helmet has a great series of vents to keep the heat and moisture off on hot days. The solid protection from dense EPS foam and a great visor to keep the sun off are the cherry on top. If you have additional questions feel free to reach out to me directly.

Great Value in a helmet

  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: sm/med

This is a great value in a helmet. I've used it for a few months and it works well. The only issue I have with it is the inferior helmet pads. They do not absorb very much sweat and it constantly ran into my eyes. I got a better pad from a different brand of helmet and now I love it. I am a 7 3/8 hat size and the small/medium has a lot of room in it.

Sweet Lid!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Over all a great helmet. Extra coverage to protect your head. Fits well and easy to adjust. The integrated mounting system is great for mounting a light or camera! The bill is quite large but it makes for a unique helmet.

Solid bang for the Buck

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I've been really impressed with this helmet in the time I've used it. Upon first looking at the helmet, it's lightweight with a low profile all the way around the lid. I found the retention system to be comfortable and a set and forget. I haven't used the visor mount so I can't comment on how stable it would be. The addition of the multi density foam from Kali makes this one of the best bangs for your buck in a mountain helmet.

Solid bang for the Buck

Really comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: medium/large

The Kali Maya has the aesthetic look, feel, and performance comparable to the higher priced helmets we offer but at half of the cost. Offered in small/medium and medium/large currently (no XL sizing available from Kali at this time). I definitely recommend this helmet to anyone looking for a comfortable, quality trail helmet that doesn't brake the bank.
