While it entered the cycling world with its simple yet efficient Chain Catcher, Idaho's K-Edge has since expanded into developing other intelligent componentry for road, mountain, and cyclocross athletes around the world. The Handlebar Computer Mount is its latest design, and it's been updated with aerodynamic improvements tested on cycling's biggest stages in order to provide a sleek, secure, and durable platform for your Garmin head unit.

Just like K-Edge's original Chain Catcher, its Handlebar Computer Mount was built to be both light and strong. It was CNC-machined at K-Edge's facility in Boise, Idaho from a single block of 6061 T6 aluminum, providing a solid out-in-front platform for your computer. This placement provides both a sleek 'wind-cheating' mount for your Garmin, as well as a clear view of your data in a central position between your bars.

The K-Edge mounts directly to a 31.8mm handlebar using an all-metal, two-bolt clamp system, with the computer unit locking into the adjustable arm with a definitive 'click.' It's compatible with Garmin Edge 810, 800, 510, 500, and 200 GPS bicycle computers. Also, should you manage to somehow break the mount, K-Edge backs all of its products with a lifetime warranty against material or manufacturer defects.

  • Compatible with Garmin Edge 200, 500, 510, 800, 810, Forerunner 310XT
  • Secures to 31.8mm diameter handlebars
  • CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum platform
  • Injection-molded attachment interface
  • Made in Boise, Idaho

Awesome mount!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

solid build. Works great on the edge 500 and holds the 810 as well. Interestingly my 810 had some up/down wiggle so I added a tad of electrical tape to the connection point and it took up the slack nicely. Nothing about this unit budges now.

Much better than plastic

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Better and more solid than plastic models and this is a vast upgrade to their previous iterations

Worth the price .

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super solid and sturdy . This is a quality machined mount that keeps your computer mounted below the tops on your bar . Perfect for a quick glance down but out of the way if you happen to go down . Could be the difference in having to replace your GPS or not.

Perfect piece!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love the K-Edge mount, waited 3 weeks because the gunmetal color was out of stock. BUT it was worth every single day I had to wait!! Super light, strong, and puts the Garmin dead center!!!

light, sturdy and looks good

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used a few mounts and this one really stands apart from the others. Your Edge will sit about 1 cm in front of your stem (assuming you mount it directly to the right of the stem). I like that the mount sits lower than others, it just looks a little nicer. Plus when you rotate it in there's a nice, affirmative 'click', obviously not a big deal, it's just one of those aesthetic niceties. I also like that it's designed and made in the northwest by a local Boise company.

Much Better than the Standard Mount

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lightweight, durable and holds my Garmin steady through the roughest conditions on the road. A necessary upgrade from the standard mount included with my Garmin 500. Worth the price to have a mount you can trust long term.

Responded on

Agree with the value of a good mount... but the SRAM Quickview achieves the same stability for less than half the price... just saying!

Responded on

Though the SRAM Quickview is less expensive, I really prefer the design and build of the K-Edge mount. In my opinion, the K-Edge mount is a more premium product.
