A mountain saddle made for her.

Dedicated to the fairer side of the mountain bro-deo, Juliana's products, like this Primiero Saddle, provide the features and details to make the most of your singletrack endeavors. Like the bikes and other Juliana accessories, Futrado's input, alonside a wealth of other professional riders, have gone into making the Primiero saddle supportive and comfortable for female riders.

This comes in the form of a shape that's wider than traditional unisex/male saddles to support sit bones. But, it's not so wide as to inhibit fore and aft movement over the bike. The Primiero also features an anatomical center channel to eliminate pressure points and a flex-tuned shell.

The composite shell gives a little to dampen chatter and allow smooth pedaling, and it works with the low-profile padding to offer comfort on the long haul. Being a mountain bike saddle, the Primiero is ready for the trail with kevlar stitched corners to resist tears and scrapes. The Juliana Primiero Saddle comes in two colors White or Black.

It has made all of the difference...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've riden the factory WTB saddle that came on my men's Yeti cycle for the last two seasons. And now I can't help but ask myself, whyyyyyy? (Nothing against the WTB saddle, but after riding a women's specific seat I realized it was not the right fit for me.)

We all know that seat fit is a personal preference, but this one made all the difference for me. I thought being miserable after a ride was part of the package, and was reluctant to buy a women's specific seat because it didn't look like it would fit that differently; but that little difference went a long way for me.

I agree with the comments Lexi made below that the break-in period is much shorter with this seat. I also felt, well, "damaged" after longer rides with my old seat, and despite the fact that it doesn't have a "pressure relief channel" I have found that I didn't really need it as I am much much more comfortable.

No Pressure relief channel

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Saddles are a personal fit, but if you are looking for a comfortable performance seat with pressure relief channel or the cut out style - DO NOT get this seat.

I recommend the Fizik Arione Donna (comes stock on the new Giant Liv Bikes).

My old MTB seat was the Specialized's Ariel which I loved, but they no longer make it.

Hello Ozwest.

I just went out and measured mine.
I measured from seam to seam.

The nose was 1.5 inches wide.
The saddle at the widest point is 5.5 inches wide.

Responded on

Saddles tend to be measured in Metric , and the measurement refers to the width of the rider's Sit Bones. 5.5 inches is 140mm , so that means the sit bones width is approx. 130mm . Most People are 143 mm. This Saddle may be on the Narrow side for most people.

SADDLE UP!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

You always dread those first rides of the season where you need to toughen up them booty muscles and break your riding buns in again. This only took about 3 rides with this women's specific saddle by Juliana. This was significantly less time than required to become accustomed to the stock saddle that came with both my Rocky Mountain Altitude and my Intense Tracer.

Comfy for both long and short rides, I'm completely satisfied with this saddle. Never experienced chafing, discomfort, etc.
Juliana is putting solid thought and effort into this women's specific saddle and I'm stoked it's mine.

SADDLE UP!

Hey LFalleroni,

The saddle was 342 grams with packaging. Its safe to assume that the packaging was about 25-30 grams so the saddle by itself should be just over 310 grams.
