The Jandd Saddle Bag Pannier Set features durable, heavy-duty construction in a simple-to-mount design. The shape is modeled after the leather saddlebags used by cowboys in the Old West and easily holds gear for commuting or touring. So giddy-up and plan that month-long tour.
Jandd used Cordura in the construction of the panniers. Cordura, by Dupont, is a fabric woven from petroleum-based filament fibers. It is light, resistant to mold and mildew and abrasion-resistant. A 500Denier weave is used rather than a 1000Denier, and while this may seem counter-intuitive, the smaller Denier means that the weave is tighter. A tighter weave holds seaming more securely and is more water-resistant. It also features a softer hand. It is coated with 1.5 ounces per square inch of Hydrothane, an environmentally safe water-based coating that keep your gear dry.
The Cordura is built around Jandd's HDPE frame sheets to hold the shape of the panniers. They each feature double layered bottoms, heavy-duty zippers, and full storm flaps on both compartments. Reflective material by 3M helps keep you visible at night.
The panniers feature a double-layer center flap that mounts right over the top of your rack. this eliminates the need for top-mount hooks. They are secured with webbing that is easily tensioned by a buckle system at the front and rear. To make carrying easy, Jandd included a handle at the top.
The Jandd Saddle Bag Pannier Set comes in one size and in the color Black.
