If you've ridden the roads of Belgium, Honey Stinger's Organic Stinger Waffles might remind you of the waffles you'd have inevitably snacked on. But aside from the waffle pattern and round shape, the differences are perhaps greater than the similarities.
Honey Stinger's Waffles are created just for endurance athletes, not merely as a tasty morning snack. And that they're packaged in single serving units makes them easy to carry in your jersey pocket for that moment when you'd like to eat something with a bit of texture. The Stinger Waffles are simultaneously toasty and chewy as you eat them. And unlike bizarre lab-born products, the natural ingredients in the Waffles chew easily and go down quick -- almost too quick. Because they taste so good, you'd like for them to last a bit longer.
Like their other energy foods, the Honey Stinger Waffles rely on honey, nature's energy food, for a majority of the carbohydrate load. The honey is easily digested because it's made of a just-right 1:1 blend of fructose and glucose. It acts quickly to give you a burst of energy and is easy on the stomach. With the waffle, you'll also get carbs from organic wheat and soy flour along with organic cane sugar and rice syrup. Honey Stinger Organic Stinger Waffles are packaged in a box of 16 individually wrapped waffles. They come in Honey, Vanilla, Chocolate, Lemon, and Strawberry flavors and are a great on and off the bike snack.
Comes as a box of 16 individually wrapped waffles
Each 30g waffle contains 160 calories
The sweet and chewy waffle doesn’t taste like an ‘energy bar,’ and you may catch yourself eating them at home

These things are super delicious. They are easy to eat (nothing too chewy) and provide some good quick energy. Honey Stinger definitely makes the most delicious trail food. All of the flavors are awesome!
Favorite thing to eat on the bike after banana's. Powerbars are weird, either its to cold and they are like trying to eat frozen silly putty or its hot and they are like a semi solid gel that still requires chewing. And I've never met a clif bar that didnt require 2 watter bottles and a refil to wash down. Stinger waffles seem to almost melt in my mouth and dont leave me feeling like I have cotton mouth. Also feel like they work quicker, had a low glycogen moment between races this year that was quickly solved with a banana and honey waffle.
Just stick with honey. The other flavors dont seem to work so well, at least for me.
These are my favorite long distance snack. They are tasty and provide quick, ample energy for the long haul. I love to sandwich 2 honey flavor waffles together with peanut butter and a piece of bacon in the middle....yummmmm!
If EPO was legal, I'd obviously go that route, but since its not, and I can't afford that, I stick to Honey Stinger products. The waffles are great for a quick bite to keep you going after hours in the saddle. This mixed with some gel chews, and some gels is a great combo for hours upon hours on the road or trail. Flavors are all good (obviously personal preference plays a huge role here) but would suggest these to anyone looking to change up their workout diet.
These are pretty good-I usually take saveral on trips. My kids love them to when were backpacking or hiking etc. They do get significantly stiffer when the temps drop-but ive only taken them in weather to about 20 degrees F thus far. I assume they will turn rock hard if left out in the cold for long enough.
The flavor is rather subdued-my favorite is the honey and the vanilla.
I've only tried the honey flavored waffles, but found them tasty and a nice change from the gels I've had in the past. When I first opened them, they reminded me of the Stroopwafels I housed during a trip to the Netherlands, which was an automatic 5-star start for this review. And while they weren't *quite* as tasty as the Dutch wafels, I'm all for tricking my body into thinking an energy snack is a cookie during a hard workout or a long hike. One word of caution: careful storing them in your pack, as they can turn to crumble pretty easily, but as long as you're careful, or not above pouring the dust into your mouth directly, it should be all good.
my buddy and I love using these for a vessel to transport frosting. We usually take a few of these and a can of frosting on long mtb rides. All the flavors are great and easy to swallow. I prefer the vanilla myself. They do get kind of destroyed when they have been in the pack for a while, the crumbs are still good though.
I have tried almost every flavor in the HS waffles and I have to say you will not find a better tasting and energy boost item for cycling. Well, at least for me. Great pricing usually on this item no matter where you buy them and I use them as a 10-15 min. prior pre-ride snack so I don't get that low feeling during a 20+ miler. If you go further may want to stash a few.
Great tasting and easier to eat than trail mix or a protein bar. I've even eaten them during a trail race. They give tons of energy - more sustained energy than just gels or chews. Favorite flavor = vanilla. Best product from Honey Stinger - get it!
Why didn't anybody think of making these sooner? They're awesome. And to think that there are 160 calories packed into each sweet delectable waffle makes them that much better! A fantastic treat for any outdoor endeavor, especially the lemon ones!
PS. Try the original Stoopwafel that they're designed after.
These not only taste great and do the job of an energy bar well, they're also the only bar that my kids will eat regularly. They taste great, are mostly organic and get the job done. What more can someone ask.
Another great product to give you the instant energy you need during any race. The texture makes it feel like you are eating something substantial unlike some gels and they are delicious. Instant energy and great tasting.
These are so good! They are perfect for packing in your pack for a light snack while outdoors! These definitely have a lot more nutrition than your typical waffle! Delicious and scrumptious i have only had the chocolate, but am really excited to pick up some other flavors!
